Yaquina provided a cozy environment that aided to my pedicure needs with pleasant conversation. I was even greeted by her cat with a warm hello 😁 I felt like a had new feet after receiving service by Yaquina. Don’t hesitate to book you will not be disappointed.
Yaqina was amazing! She was very delicate and precise when doing my gel manicure. She played the music of my choice and offers complimentary drinks! I will be back to try the pedicure service :) the vibes were great
I loved my first visit with Yaqina. At our initial phone conversation, she told me what to expect. She asked about the current condition of my nails, medication, etc. From that conversation, I knew she was serious about her business. When have you ever gone into a nail salon and they asked you something besides what color you want? Thr ambiance, conversation, and care were top notch. Can't wait to go back!
Long story short (ish): If you want someone to care for your natural nails then look no further. Yaquina is very skilled at what she does and is very knowledgeable. She's also professional yet personable and is very detailed-oriented. My nails are as strong as ever and they last for at least 2 weeks, I only get them redone because they grow out. I originally used Yaquina's services as a treat for my birthday. I was looking for someone who truly specialized in natural nails. I love getting my nails done, but don't look forward to the process because I've had a few salons tell ME what I want (you should do dip instead of gel)! And they always want to cut my cuticles! When I walked into Yaquina's studio, it was so welcoming and inviting which automatically put me at ease. I knew she was the real deal because of how she prepped my nails and she was teaching me basic nail care. She also mentioned that she wouldn't cut my cuticles without me saying it! Now I go regularly to keep up my nail care and for the nail art! She has a great selection of colors and helps me pick out the right shades/tones for the look I'm going for. I also look forward to seeing her lovely studio assistant who has a way of making you feel extra special. She gives the best treats! Bottom line: This is NOT your average nail salon, it's a whole vibe and experience!!!
I had bilat knee replacements last year and realized that I couldn't touch my toes, much less cut/trim the nails (& my husband looked a bit ill when I asked if he could help) a wonderful friend bought me a coupon to a nail salon but I decided to go to Yaquina, since she is close by-- for my very first pedicure ever! She was very thoughtful, caring and I enjoyed my experience - but didn't know how much until a bit later. I next went to the 'nail salon to redeem my gift. Let me tell you a Tale of Two Salons. Yaquina immersed me in true fun. She is extremely knowledgeable of all nuances in nail care & likes to make one's experience a carefully crafted delight. Music is softly playing, conversation abounds with laughter and just plain fun. The delightful quiet salon assistant is readily available to offer drink, possibly a fresh kitchen treat - she slips in like and out quickly, quietly ... then stays close by. The other salon was an established business. Lots of people, reception checked you in then you sat until one of the many techs was open. My tech pointed me to his station. No talk just silence. There was a party of 3 girls that came and were seated across from me- they didn't talk to each other, the tech was bustling along & again silence. No talk - just silence in the work room. I tried to engage my tech in small talk about the pedicure - no response. Walked out when done and there you go. So, of my two experiences.... do you want utter industrial silence or laid back ambience with music, conversation, relaxation & laughter? I know which I prefer.
