I went in on this past Saturday to get shoulder length goddess braids with human hair as leave outs. Not only did the lady mix synthetic hair with human hair…. she super glued the end of each braid which made them curl up rather than staying straight! I’ve had longer length goddess braids before and they never used superglue. I never smelled it to even know she used it until I got in my car. My regular braided at another shop was out of the country and because they were so close to my house I thought I’d give them a try. NEVER AGAIN!!!!
I will go back to Veronica, and would recommend her to anyone. I was very well pleased with how she did my hair.
This is an update to a service I had on Friday, May 27, 2022. I love this salon and the dedication. However, let me give you a few pointers. I’ve read some of the previous reviews and I can honestly relate to them. This is my advice to those wanting to utilize Higher Level Braiding. Yes, they do a phenomenal job, but when you make an appointment, be sure to ask the following questions. If you getting braids, inquire about the length and size of braids, because yes, the price is based on the length and size. If they quote you a price, ask what length and size. I see a lot of people complaining the price change’s once they get there, but you must ask these questions. Don’t be impatient. They do an amazing job, and they want to make sure it’s to your satisfaction. If you don’t have an appointment, don’t get mad ~~Amazing from beginning to end. I went in a few weeks prior to having my hair braided. Because of previous experience at a nearby salon, I needed to speak with someone and that person was Veronica. I explained to her I didn’t want my edges braided tight. I didn’t want tight braids, and I didn’t want a lot of hair. She listened and explained to me because of my hair, I couldn’t get the style I wanted but allowed for suggestions. I left a deposit to secure my appointment. When I say she did a phenomenal job, I wanted to cry. The reason I went to this salon was because of the reviews. I think I found the place that will be handling all my braiding needs. Hair braider was way to ruff pulled my braids way to tight even after asking her to stop claiming the style is the cause of the tightness. I've been all the way to Ghana and had my hair braided and my braids has never been this tight n uncomfortable. I give a reasonable curve for tightness and I'm not tender headed it's been a week my scalp is still hurting. Worse experience getting braids ever.
I was referred to this place by a friend and was excited to finally find hair braiding salon for for my 11 year old daughter and I. So, I did what most people do now a days and decided to read the reviews. I was immediately excited that the reviews were actually good ! So I search their website. Red flag #1- Prices are not on the website. So I called to asked for pricing about each hair style. The person I spoke to over the phone had an attitude and would not discuss pricing over the the phone because she says they do not have a set price . I find that to be a problematic because I could possibly be over charged for the same a style someone else the same length and size braids could've had. Although I have never used their services I am highly disappointed about the rude encounter I had over the phone and will not support this business. I will find somewhere else for my daughter and I to go. Great customer service and professionalism should start the first time you speak with a potential customer or client to the services provided.
