Got my hair done at Hair Loft Atlanta by the owner, Charley, a little over a week ago. I had waited awhile to be able to get an appointment with her the first time when she did my silk press, but I loved the results, so I was excited to try a sew-in this time. That excitement quickly ended once I got there. To make a long story short, my appointment was at 2PM & I did not leave there until after 9PM. I sat for almost an hour waiting to get my hair washed, because they said the water was cold. By time they finally did wash it, it still was cold. Then I sat & sat some more. It came time for my hair to be braided which literally took the assistant almost 2 hours to do. The braids were loose and the ends were just left loose in the back. When I finally made it to Charley’s chair, she undid part of it and tried to secure it better but as I speak I can literally feel the braids and rubber bands sticking out the back of the hair. I paid $575 total including the bundles, but unfortunately, she cut the track of the bundles even after I asked her not to. Which most people know that I will not be able to reuse the hair, because other stylist don’t install cut bundles. (Complete waist of my money) Once it was done, I was clearly ready to go. I paid, got in my car and got on the highway. When I finally touched my hair. I realized one of the tracks were standing straight up, at the top of my head. And I could not get the hair to lay down. I had to turn back around and go back. Sat for another 15 minutes until finally another stylist (Karma) was nice enough to help me. I was so frustrated by 10pm when I got back in my car , that I was literally in tears. This by far was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a hairstylist period. Very disappointing, and I hate that I paid so much money for a poor quality braid down, install, and cut tracks. To top it all off, not even 5 days after the appt, my tracks started coming out at 3 different spots. Thank God a friend of mine was able to sew it back in for me. I went back and forth with if I was going to leave a review, but I just don’t appreciate the service I received and I don’t think it’s okay.
The customer service was excellent, they answered the phone right away and greeted me with a smile as soon as I walked in. Not to mention the extremely sweet styling assistants. That being said…. 3 and a half hours for a shampoo and braid down is quite literally insane (also could be due to me being a walk-in but I’d rather hear you don’t have space) Only go if you have an open schedule for the day!!
I can not rave enough about how wonderful the Hair Loft is I really like the receptionist and stylists. What a beauty shop! Charli the owner is this cute brilliant petite cosmetologist who encourages healthy hair. Karma and Charli have done my hair, both are great stylists. The shampoo ladies are respectful and nice as well.
Just want to start off by saying EXCELLENT customer service. I wished my daughter could have gotten her everything done but we were running a little behind so she only got a blow out. I wished I would have scheduled earlier, I have locs so I guess I forgot how long the process is. But can’t wait to go back. They were understanding, very polite and patient. Would recommend to anyone like for a great service and great work. This place is awesome.
First time coming here today , got me a blow out & a trim + protein & moisture treatment & my scalp & hair feels so good lol , haven’t been to the salon in years I mean YEARS LOL , Karma hooked me up with a nice trim , & worked with my hair to give it an even trim to frame my face properly! Excellent job & will be back in a few months , because I definitely feel comfortable getting trims here & her touch my hair !! Looking forward to healthy hair growth as I continue to come in regularly for professional trims !!
