Best facial I have ever received! I get the "Japanese Shiatsu Stress Therapy facial." Mayumi gives such personalized attention. She takes her time and I never feel rushed. She is an expert in her field and has so much knowledge to impart, as well as exceptional care. I can't recommend highly enough.
Mayumi is an individual provider focused on skin care, not a do everything (none of it well) "spa". She customizes each session for your specific needs. She has a quiet, calming presence. The face mask she applies is very unique, it tightens, warms and tingles as it dries - it must be experienced! While waiting for it to dry, she gives you a neck, foot, and hand massage. It's very relaxing.
Absolutely amazing! I’ve been suffering for my entire adult life (I’m now 46) with painful cystic hormonal acne and cystic rosacea acne. A few very tedious regimens did a semi-decent job with it but nothing like this. I’ve tried all the peels and lasers with no luck. Thanks to my mother doing a good bit of research this year for Christmas, she found Mayumi and this enzyme treatment. The first day I went in for the treatment I was afraid she wouldn’t be able to do it because my chin was so broken out with a huge cluster of cystic acne that was very inflamed. It was so bad that my mother gave me the gift certificate prior to Christmas. Mayumi assured me that it would be fine and that was what the treatment was for. She was very up front about the treatment being a mask that would tighten quite a bit and be a little uncomfortable. Not to worry, she does a very good hand and foot massage to take your mind off of it! Nice bonus! By the time the treatment was over my chin had already begun to calm down. The treatment works for 72 hours after the treatment and by day 3 my chin had cleared to not much more than a memory. I only wish I had taken pictures around the first treatment. I’m attaching the only picture I have after the first treatment (New Years Eve), hopefully I could get in close enough for you to see. I am also attaching pictures of what my acne looked like before that (notice the how swollen my face is from the acne in some of the pics, like someone hit me in the jaw!) and pictures just after the second treatment and 3 days after the second treatment. Unfortunately, this past summer I used a moisturizer that was from a renowned company, but it clogged my pores and left bumps anyway. So the day before my second treatment, I tried to get some of the trapped moisturizer out and probably did quite a bit of damage so, the pictures probably don’t do this treatment much justice. Just know that my face wouldn’t have broken out like that on its own, it was my own doing. With the treatments and the very simple regimen Mayumi gave me I haven’t had any cystic breakouts since having the first treatment. The only small breakouts have been from the trapped moisturizer. I thank my mom and Mayumi with all my heart for this!!!
Absolutely amazing experience. Mayumi was very professional and meticulous in her explanation of the facial she recommended for me. My skin has never felt better. I definitely recommend checking her out. I will be going back in a few months. 😊
