This is the WORST Caribbean food I’ve ever had in my life. I got two plates of oxtail, one plate was full of bones. Not a piece of meat in sight. Then the flavor of the oxtail was not it. The meat wasn’t browned and it taste full of salt. The rice and peas had no flavor. It taste like water. The plantains only taste like the oil it was cooked in. The “Rasta pasta” had NO Bell peppers at all, which is crazy. It was also green which made me think it was seasoned with curry. But that too, had no flavor. I can’t believe I spent my money on this trash. Bombastic side eye. I should call the authorities, as I have been bamboozled and robbed. As a Caribbean person I’m deeply offended that this is how our cuisine is being represented in Hawai’i. I would not recommend eating here. I don’t think I’ll ever get over how disappointing this meal was.
I have been a chef for over 20 years. I have So much to say. But I'm going to keep it simple. The Chef is very nice and friendly. They atmosphere is cute. We got to enjoy our food while not being rushed. I will say that my ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating is solely based on the wings,plantains and drinks.
Popped in and was immediately impressed. It smelled good and the restaurant was super clean and aesthetically pleasing. We tried the Plantain jerk chicken sliders(bomb) the calamari (nothing special but good) the red snapper eschovitch meal with cabbage and lobster Mac (BOMB) and the oxtail w/rice and peas, plantains, cabbage and Mac & cheese. It was all so SO good and a lot of food for the price . The service was also A1. I’ll be back as soon as they start serving alcohol
I was so excited to dine in at Posh's, and it did not disappoint. So far I have tried their lunch, and weekend brunch options. The food was cooked to perfection. I love the vibe of the restaurant. Carribean music is playing while you eat. Definitely made me feel like I found a little piece home in Hawaii. Parking available in the back, and surrounding streets. Highly recommend this restaurant to both locals, and tourists.
Posh is a wonderful Caribbean Restaurant that serves authentic cuisine that packs a punch of flavor in each bite. I started off with the Mango Hennessy Wings, which had a nice crisp but was very juicy once you bite into them. The sauce was sweet and tangy, and served with cool ranch sauce. For my entree, I decided to go with the Braised Stew Oxtail, this was amazing!!! Cooked to perfection, meat was tender and delicious. The fried rice was excellent as well, I got some pepper sauce to add to the dish and kick it up a notch. The chef, Posh, came out and chatted with me for a bit and really appreciated the kind words I had to share with her. All recipes derived from her passion for cooking, and her passion shows in the dishes she serves. The location also has a beautiful vibe, great for a date night as well and they do serve alcohol! They have great island style cocktails and mocktails! This is a must try for Caribbean food on the island of Oahu. Located minutes from Waikiki beach. Posh, wishing you all the best!
