I’m not big on getting my hair cut, went in very nervous, but from the start Raquel welcomes you and has a way of easing any doubts you might have. I have to say it’s by far one of the best experiences I’ve had. She really listens and guides you to understand what you and your hair may need. I really wish I had a before photo to show you how nonexistent my curls were and this was just after one sitting. I’ll definitely be back.
I haven’t had a haircut since May 2020. Everywhere else that I have gone to get my hair cut has always wanted to get rid of my curls and style my hair straight. As much as I like my hair straight, I’ve started to embrace my curls but I never learned how to take care of them properly. Raquel not only brought my hair back to life but she also educated me on how to take care of my natural hair so I didn’t feel like the only way to take care of it was to make my curls disappear. Thank you so much Raquel! ♥️
Raquel is the girl!! It is essential for curly hair girls to have someone who not only is educated in curly hair health but is also a strong advocate for natural hair. Me and my curls always feel so embraced, supported and SEEN during appointments with Raquel.
Ohhhh my god, all my curly (and straight hair) people need to come see Raquel! I am so glad to have found a wonderful curly stylist. She completely listened to what I wanted, and kept my long hair while removing dead ends, and adding in tons of texture and movement. Great conversation, comfortable but very professional, wonderful product recs and seriously informative — I was off the base on some of my haircare and Raquel gave me hair advice that was non judgmental and effective! 10/10 experience and I love all the new life that’s in my hair.
Been getting my hair cut since 2018 with Raquel. Gone from natural to chemically relaxed back to natural and had color treatments - so Raquel has seen my hair in various stages of health and not so great health. Reliable stylist for great cuts and deep cleaning treatments. Her recommendation to use extensions during my grow out has been great, too. Definitely recommend to all my curly folks visiting and living on Maui.
