This was a terrible experience. Food was cold because it was done early and I wasn't notified. Food was SUPER overpriced, online adds like $5 extra per item. Half my order was not prepared, I had to wait without compensation. Paid $6 for broccoli, when it could have been added to the dish as a sorry for the wait. The serving size for the price you pay for a side is ridiculous. The restaurant lobby SMELLED TERRIBLE. New employee at front counter, young lady, was pleasant. Food tasted ok, but not worth the hassle, especially if I had to warm it up. Lastly, there is no way to speak with someone, unless you go into the location.
once I knew I was going to Chicago, I had to experience DJ Khaled restaurant. it lived up to all of the hype and everything that I thought that would be good about it. The mystery juice in the lobster Alfredo were so good. this was my first time also having a fried and broccoli and I would never look at broccoli the same. it was amazing!
I was very disappointed in ordering online with the linking. I ordered food and my order was canceled because the didn't have all or non of the things I ordered I call in to see what they did have and that was unsuccessful WHY its beyond Me. I started going here because I met a young man from MS who gave me my first experience to the restaurant. So you mean to tell me when he isn't there we can't get. Good customer? Now I have wait 3 days for money to come back to my account. But we are hungry today. This the third strike. Hi Shirley Johnson, your order from The Licking (W Madison St) has been cancelled because the store is unable to fulfill the order. Your charges will be removed from your statement within 3 days. We apologize for the inconvenience.
I really can’t believe the experience my friend and I had at The Licking Chicago. Firstly we were the only people dining in, we sat ourselves and waited 10 minutes to be greeted. No one came out, knocked on the window of the kitchen, someone indicating he was a cook, he didn’t take orders. We waited another 15 mins for someone to come take our orders. There was not a employee in sight. I wasn’t even greeted or offered water yet on my bill there is 20% gratuity, a fee to use a card, which why isn’t this explained earlier, I would of paid cash, also there is a food service fee. I don’t understand all the fees. The food was great, but not worth all of the extra fees and horrible customer service! I would not recommend!!
I was skeptical at first due to the signs all over about the 20% gratuity charge. The server was very lackadaisical and we barely saw her until it was time to collect that money. Food was outstanding tho. Red snapper banged and was a good portion fasho. There is no alcoholic beverages but yal will be okay without it, drink water.
