The food and drinks were delicious and the service was great! I would have given it 5 stars had they offered corn bread and dessert on the menu. The restaurant is shaped like an "L" , so seating is limited. However, we were able to get a table as soon as we arrived. Please note they automatically add a 18% service charge to all bills.
Beautiful establishment BUT after almost 30 mins of not being waited on unfortunately me nd my guest left. We were greeted nd had a seat at the bar but after receiving waters the bartender walked off nd she didn't return. Others came in after us nd were helped. I will give another shot nd update my review if I can. ***update Ok so I tried it again nd the food was subpar. It was ok but I don't feel it was worth it/ the price. I ordered the turkey tips which were smothered in bbq sauce(to hide the burnt ones I feel) with Mac nd yams. Mac was decent, yams were ok. Also got a turkey burger which was good with cabbage... cabbage was cooked really well but has a kick to it. Pops tasted off in my really sure what to make it. *sorry for filter on video, presentation was nice nd sauce was ok
This place is amazing. It’s a little small, but they’ve definitely used the space very well. It’s beautiful on the inside, the staff are nice and attentive. The food is great and your wait time is awesome. Those salmon bites melt into your mouth and definitely try that wing platter for appetizers. I highly recommend the lollipop lamb chops and turkey tips as well because honey they are BOMB! My girl and I will be returning to this spot
Lollipop lamb chops were flavored to perfection; however, you got 4 baby lamb bones for $45... the cabbage and yams were also flavorful, but more juice in the bowl than vegetable. I thought she gave me sweet potato soup. The food came out smoking hot, fresh off the presses...that was impressive. It was like it came off the stove and onto my plate. The drinks were disappointing. I ordered the happy hour lemon drops... no thank you. Then a cosmopolitan that didn't quite hit home. There was ice floating around the martini... the bartender must be just starting out...I don't know. For me, I would go back for the food and order a drink neat for sure.
Tl;Dr, the food is decent but at this price point I expect delicious. They are willing to work with you if you have any issues with the food however. I just didn't have the time to wait for any longer than I already had (an hour), for food that wasn't even hot. BE ADVISED THERE IS AN AUTO GRATIUTY FOR ANY PARTY SIZE. CHARGED ME FOR A PARTY OF 1. Which caused a removal of another star, because why would you charge a gratuity for one person, not say anything, and allow me to tip you twice when I don't notice? The restaurant space is bigger than expected, which is nice. Expect to spend ~90 minutes here, 60 for the food wait time, even for 1. My server seemed a little discombobulated and confused my order but he was still nice. I do not like their water, I don't know if it's the ice or the water itself but it has that weird refrigerator aftertaste. The menu seems best for groups instead of individuals, judging by the prices and portions, so be advised. The decor is beautiful, but unfortunately the bench in the back of the restaurant is uncomfortable relative to the table height if you're short. The chairs are very comfortable and big thigh friendly. I was given a sample of the salmon bites appetizer and they were delicious! Juicy, and very flavorful. They have a slight hot sauce kick, sweet maple sauce, and lemon to brighten it up is the perfect combination. The breading was also perfect. My mimosa was delicious and gave me a nice chill buzz. Unfortunately the turkey tips that I ordered were primarily fat I probably didn't even get 4 oz of meat out of the whole order for almost $20., the BBQ sauce does not taste homemade (Sweet Baby Ray's). The Mac and cheese was a little bland But thankfully they let me switch it out for the yams. The baked beans are really good but also sweet. Considering my food took an hour to receive, it was not even piping hot. I almost got overcharged but caught the error that they fixed with no problem. The candied yams were decent. I may give them another try on a weekend day as they have a different menu then, but if my experience is the same there then unfortunately I won't be back.
