I love Sweet Vegan Bakes!!! Even though I've only had the cupcakes, those cupcakes are the best cupcakes I have ever had (vegan or non-vegan!). Not only are the cupcakes great, I really enjoyed speaking with the staff and hearing about how all of their products are natural, homemade, and just good for you. Plus, I really appreciate how close it is to the brown line/the CTA bus lines, so you don't even have to walk very far to reach it. They definitely have a loyal customer in me.
I ordered food for my daughter’s Quincenera and cake , I couldn’t afford a fancy cake for the event because my budget was tight but she and her staff did not disappoint!!! The food was excellent! We got the Mac and cheese , avocado, blueberry salad, pulled “pork” sliders and fried “chic n’ “ sliders and everything was so good that the non vegans were eating the food and loving it! And the salad was chef’s kiss!!! She worked with our budget making the cake beautiful and my daughter loved it! 10/10 highly recommend!
The food here is out of this WORLD!! We had chicken and waffles, mac and cheese, the best burger (lives up to its name) and the warmest chocolate chip cookies!! We also ordered food to go and they did not disappoint. You can tell the food here is made with soul and love!!! The ingredients are so fresh and the flavors will leave you coming back for more!
I needed a dairy free, gluten free red velvet cake for a friend’s birthday and this bakery is one of the only bakeries in Chicago that offers a true cake!! The cake was so delicious and moist, which isn’t always the case with gluten free baked goods. And the plant-based frosting tasted just like a regular frosting, it was incredible. Safe to say he cake was a huge hit at the birthday party. I will for sure be returning!!
I love the restaurant and bakery! I ordered a side of the mac and cheeze and the crispy chick-n, and 1 of every cupcake available to eat later. The food was delicious, seasonings were spot on, the texture and flavors were great. I ate the orange dream cupcake later and it was moist and the frosting was wonderful. The owner and chef, Cheryl, was approachable and kind. I loved meeting her and discussing vegan food. I enjoyed my meal and will be returning to order other items on the menu.
