My friend Tiffany and I had the privilege of dining at S2 restaurant in Chicago, a culinary gem that left us with our taste buds singing. But what truly set our experience apart was the warmth and attentiveness we received from Ashley. From the moment we stepped through the doors, Ashley's radiant smile caught our attention. She is the embodiment of hospitality - kind, engaging, and a master at remembering exactly what we wanted and needed. Her flawless service was an unexpected grace note to an already exquisite evening. The food at S2 was fantastic, but it was Ashley's exceptional service that took our dining experience to a whole new level. Her frequent, friendly check-ins weren't just professional; they were personal, making us feel more like valued guests than just another table. Ashley is proof that excellent service truly makes all the difference. This was not just a meal, but a delightful experience, and we can't recommend S2, and Ashley, highly enough. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. Food is okay, drinks are sour. I had to wait 2 hours to get my food because they lost my order ticket. 1 hour to get an appetizer. Little to any service no one even offered water. Initially was given the wrong order. Decor was nice but the atmosphere was a bit tense given everyone’s food was either wrong or they waited a long time. Don’t waste your time going to this place.
So I seen this restaurant pop up on my door dash. The food pics looked great so I decided to take a visit. While the parking lot is small it is definitely a valued trip. The atmosphere is great its the perfect balance between sophisticated and casual they even have TVs to watch the games. When you visit ask for John the bartender he can make a mixed drink that can definitely be appreciated. I ordered the lamb chops with Mac and asparagus. When I say the food is tender my taste buds are dancing everything was tasty 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ flavor. The prices are fair, the staff are friendly, and the food is delicious definitely a South Shore Dimond. Glad I made the trip🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
The food was hot and delicious The service was excellent.I ordered vegetarian stirfry. The ultra salad and cheesecake portions were more than enough. I was happy to find a place in the neighborhood that was truly five stars. Will definitely go there again and again. AND THEY HAVE COCKTAILS 😀😜
Very nice decor very nice music selection very cool it's a whole vibe our server was nice but there are some things you should know before going here: If you are eating or dining in, you automatically pay 18% gratuity for your total bill at the table. If paying with a credit card that's an additional 4% upcharge on the bill...also you must pay for your food ahead of service once ordered (No waiting until the end of the bill). Our service came with a robot that had our food which was really cool, but our food was served and containers instead of plates no actual silverware only plastic silverware 😕. The food was okay, if you are very vegan or vegetarian this place might not be fully a good choice only because of certain ingredients used for the veggie entrees, also with the plating I'm a little disappointed only because of the price that it was charged for, but the daiquiri drinks were good 👍. Knowing that we were served in carryout trays for 150 dollars for three drinks and three entree's, I would've expected actual plates rather than styrofoam ones to give the dine in experience a little bit more feel to the vibe it's setting in the restaurant. Other than that I say it's still a decent place to visit.
