This place has been amazing for our family! Madison runs weekly Ninja class which both of my sons attend. My oldest is Autistic and Madison is simply amazingly inclusive. We tell everyone who will listen (and some who don't) how wonderful Rootz is! how wonderful Madison is!
Every child should have an amazing place like Rootz to learn from! I feel so lucky that my children have grown up having the outstanding classes and teachers at Rootz in their lives. They offer a huge variety of classes for a wide span of ages. My younger son is currently in the Broadway Bound class and couldn't love it more. I am sure a huge part of that is the teacher, Lisa Panizo, who is also the director. Her communication and the way she runs everything is top notch! Highly, highly, recommend!
Classes at Rootz are the highlight of my daughter's week!! This year she was enrolled in two classes and one turned out to be not a great fit because all the other dancers were much younger than her. So the team at Rootz helped us find a better fit for her and now she's thriving in both the classes she's taking. Her teachers are kind, fun, patient and always guide her with new & challenging but achievable goals. She has made new friends and is always proud of the what she's working on in class. Could not ask for a better dance studio!
Although I’m not comfortable providing information on who I am, I have gone to rootz before and I must say it was fun and a great community, just not what I was looking for. If you want to have fun and do their activities that’s fine, and they generally seem like a great place to go to. But personally when I went there for dance classes I now look back saddened that they didn’t teach me more. With my new studio I have learnt much more and have competed and have found more success….let me repeat specifically competitive success at a third of time compared to rootz. Which is why I give you guys 4 stars as although you guys were great I felt like I was not learning much, the choreography wasn’t as complex as I wished it was and generally wish I could’ve taken those years back and gone to my current studio. No hate just want to share to those who are looking for a good challenging competitive studio, that this isn’t my go to recommendation.
We've had such a wonderful experience at Rootz over the last few years. The instructors and staff are amazing and talented, and they've created such a warm and welcoming environment for our children. Lisa, Jordyn, and Rory are a big reason why my daughters love it there so much! They have a great variety of classes depending upon your interests, and my three girls have taken various dance classes, as well as Broadway and Mommy & Me classes. If you live anywhere on the North Shore, I highly recommend checking it out!
