So I have to say I love coming here the vibe is always right and my hair is always slayed (healthy and growing). I cannot say enough good things about the owner she primarily does my hair. Pressed Salon is in a good location even though I come miles away. I'm always very satisfied and more than happy with my hair and also the service I receive while I’m in her chair. I always get compliments on my hair rather it be in its natural state or straightened.
I’ve read enough to know I won’t be getting anything done here!!! Thanks for the reviews ladies!!!
I’ve been a customer of the owner for years. I’m always on time and I never cancel my appointments and I always tip her. However this last experience that I had with the owner really left me feeling some type of way and I now understand why everyone that I send her way never returns. I originally had an appointment set for a wed and had to reschedule the day before for that sat do to the post office not delivering my hair. Ultimately I had to reschedule again due to Covid and my mom being in the hospital. The owner was made aware. I talked to her two 1/2 weeks after to try and schedule again she basically said I lost the majority of the first deposit and would need to put down another. And not to mention she wasn’t very pleasant. The owner failed to be human, unfortunately things happen that’s not in your control. The owner didn’t even acknowledge like “hey this has never happened before with you let’s try to work this out”. Especially since there have been many occasions when I have booked with the owner and someone else ended up doing my hair and she comes in when there are two tracks left to sew in or she is late. If the owner wants to stay in business she is going to have to learn some customer service skills ASAP because it’s always another stylist that can do a way better job than you can. I will never patronize her or her business again.
I scheduled an appointment for a press and style. I will admit the extensions/hair that was in my head wasn’t done or provided by the owner so I did appreciate her taking the time to style on work that wasn’t done by her. However, I did not request a shampoo & wash this was something the owner proceeded to do on her own. The install was only two weeks old so I didn’t feel a wash was necessary. My hair became so tangle and I guess it was because the weave wasn’t the best batch so it was a bit difficult managing it during the wash, again not her fault BUT I didn’t ask for a wash to begin with. My issue with my experience was that I was charged more then what the price on the website reflected. A deposit was initially made in order to secure my appointment which I “thought” would go towards my overall price. After paying the remaining balance that I calculated before my appointment I was asked to Zelle an additional $30. I was confused but I sent it anyway. I don’t know if this was done due to frustration behind the fact that the hair wasn’t manageable after the wash. If the service I initially requested was fulfilled I strongly believe that we wouldn’t had to deal with my hair becoming so tangled.
I was coming to the business at 2:30 to ask about service but as I walked to the door a woman in an apron looked me in the eyes and locked the door. A simple we're closing early would have sufficed.
