During a difficult time for my family, there were many people and companies I had to deal with. Every single one of them was difficult to deal with and regularly did not follow through on what they said or were difficult to communicate with. Flying Angels was such a breath of fresh air. I never once had any stress related to his transport. Elise was on top of things every step of the way and communicated with me so well. I truly appreciated her “behind the scenes” efforts. From the moment Chris showed up at the hospital to the moment he left us at the receiving hospital, he was such a professional. He made my dad and I feel at ease during the transport and it is clear to me what a skilled nurse he is. The compassion with which he did his job was felt by my father and I. Additionally, we got many compliments about him from the trauma team at Harborview. They were very impressed with his hand-off report. Thank you so incredibly much.
We needed to arrange transportation for my dad from Florida to NY. The receiving institution recommended Flying Angles and believe me, they lived up to their name. Sue was amazing at coordinating everything, and Tom Tropeano was our flight nurse was fantastic at dealing with my dad, the hospital staff, and the airline/airport teams. While I hope you never need this service, if you do, I highly recommend that.

Without the two of you it would not have been this easy and it would have been extremely challenging to complete the move without your assistance. Audrey was awesome, what an extraordinary travel nurse! Hopefully my parents adapt well to the new place and we can move on with the next stage of the process. Thank you so much.
At every step of the way, the experience exceeded my expectations. Karen Devi made understanding the process, my options and the associated costs in a way that I could grasp. She was flexible, patient, available but never pushy. Edna is a joy. I knew that my father was safe, in good care and was with someone who was caring and empathetic. Edna displayed all of the technical nursing skills I know she has, and showed me the soft skills needed with a patient and the street smarts needed to get through the air transportation systems/staff quickly. There was a wrinkly on the Portland side of ground transportation through a vendor. Edna worked with the vendor to resolve the matter to my satisfaction and keep my father safe.
I recently called the Flying Angels as I was concerned about transporting my aunt who has dementia from Florida to Delaware. I worked with Karen and Doug to facilitate the transport. My aunt’s dementia has progressed to the point where she does not recognize her family. I was concerned about her health, as well as her emotional well being as she was departing her familiar home of 30+ years for unfamiliar surroundings. I was met with several challenges from my aunts doctor in providing necessary medications, and information, even though I am the POA for my aunt. With some work, Karen was able to get everything we needed from the PCP for the safe transport of my aunt. When faced with challenges, Karen was very calm, precise with her knowledge of the medical field, and she was very confident that everything would work out. Which it did. Karen was amazing to work with through this whole process. At the end of it all, she called to see how my aunt was doing and to make sure that I was happy with their service. Doug was the nurse that accompanied my aunt from her home to her new facility. I was very concerned with the transport of my aunt, but after Doug met us for his initial visit the day before their flight, he really placed me at ease. Doug is very experienced, very patient, caring and very understanding of the situation. Doug kept me updated at every step of the way. Even at the new facility, he called to say the the new nurses were properly briefed and my aunt was safely in their care. I cannot express how concerned I was with the logistics of moving my aunt. Karen, Doug and the Flying Angels provide an incredible service. They are very caring, experienced, compassionate, and made this very difficult process seem very easy. I’m immensely grateful for their service, and cannot thank them enough for their help. Karen and Doug are truly wonderful people to work with. Thank you so much. Don
