Last Thursday 9/14/23, I called Shirley to check if she has a spot open for the day but unfortunately she took the day off. So I just went ahead and scheduled one @ 4:30 pm to whoever was available. When I walked in the salon, they ushered me to Dennis. I had gotten a haircut with him before and it was fine so I thought there shouldn’t be any problem. I immediately noticed that he was not in a friendly mood and I have this feeling that he was just ready to get this over with. I told him how I wanted my hair done and he nodded so I thought he knows what he was doing. While he was cutting my hair, he was really pressing hard on my head when he repositioned my head. Also, he was holding down on the blowdryer towards my leg and I had to move my leg to avoid the burning sensation from it twice. When he finished he barely showed the back of my head and he said that he just do it without listening to the customer’s specifications. I thought the haircut was alright but when my wife and kids noticed that there was uneven shave in the back that is when I found out about the horrror he did (See photo) I was so mad and I am doing everything so I can have some recourse on this unprofessional behavior. I am not going back to this salon again.
I went for a Brazilian Blowout, I told them I highlighted my my hair last week and It already damaged my hair so I want to do the keratin treatment or Brazilian Blowout. Dennis suggested the Japanese Milbon treatment. I came out of the salon half way through the process crying. They ruined my hair. I saw he was brushing off all my highlights. When he was done brushing and drying my hair, my hair was only one color, my natural color with no highlights and half in length and fullness. He never told me this would happen.
I see Po for my nails, pedi & brows. Everyone is friendly & speaks with each entrance. They make you feel welcome when you first walk through the door.
This used to be a decent hair salon and go-to for my Asian friends because of the efficiency of service. Too sad it is impossible to find any available time and Dennis has been very rude when you try to book him as he is usually fully booked. It is very disheartening to see a good business decline, but I will not be returning at all after going there for four years.
Was desperate to help my 85 year old neighbor get a haircut at the last minute. Called around after no luck at walkinshaw. Po did a beautiful job and made my neighbor so happy for her birthday. Wonderfully accommodating. Very reasonable cost for cut and dry.$33.00 WONDERFUL PLACE
