Came here from brunch and was greeted by a pleasant hostess. Customer service was excellent some of the best I've had ever. I got the shrimp and grits and the shrimp were fried I wish there was more. They were seasoned well, crunchy, and were decent-sized shrimp too. Grits had this seasoned to it I can't put my finger on but it was fire too. 8.7. The DJ was a vibe and kept some dope music playing while eating. The menu didn't have many options but overall it's a nice spot. 9.0.
Some friends invited out on Sunday and the experience was excellent. The entrées were well composed and delicious to our enjoyment. The desserts were amazingly flavorful with every bite. As I mentioned on the way out “We Will Be Back!”
This was my 2nd time visiting this spot. I had such a great experience the 1st time, I knew I had to suggest it to my friends. We had a reservation for 8pm. We were all greeted upon entering. We were about 15 min late to the reservation. The host made no mention of it and got us right to an open table. It wasn't crowded, though. The atmosphere of this place is really dope. From the art on the wall to the bar area to the open kitchen view. The bathrooms were also decorated beautifully. 2 friends and myself opted for the PHT. Another friend got the Uncle Yam's Old Fashioned. She liked it enough to order a 2nd. The PHT was really good and not overly spicy like some pepper drinks I've had. For food, we shared the Brussel sprouts, cheese plate, and the bronzeville signature burger. I thought I wasn't a fan of Brussel sprouts, but those were amazing! The burger was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The fries that came with the burger were hot and crispy. The cheese plate offered a nice variety and was more than enough for the 4 of us. The waitress even brought small glasses of complimentary champagne to the table since it was my friends' 1st time. I also told her it was my friend's birthday and she brought complimentary chocolates. The bill was $215 and it included gratuity. Pretty fair for 7 alcoholic drinks amongst the 4 of us and the food mentioned earlier. I'll continue to go back if the service and food is as good as I've experienced.
We traveled to Chicago to meet our new niece. My sister suggested this restaurant and it was Awesome. The atmosphere was a great vibe. Live DJ played old school R&B hits. The music wasn't too loud. You could talk comfortably. Our server was nice and knowledgeable of the menu. Her recommendations were spot on. Parking is on the street. You are required to make reservations and pay a deposit, which will be taken off your order total. We had a party of 4, so gratuities were already added to the bill. I gave extra because our server was attentive and did not disappoint. Prices were to be expected for this type of establishment. If you are celebrating a special occasion or simply want to treat yourself out, I absolutely recommend Bronzeville Winery.
Service was amazing! If/when I return I will be ordering the brussels and shrimp again. So good! The Uncle Yam's Old Fashion was really good too, such a unique twist, makes you want to share with others. The place was beautiful too, the only part I didn't absolutely love was how loud the music was. The playlist was amazing but we couldn't really have a conversation. All in all it was a great experience and everything we tasted was excellent.
