I had been to 2 bridal shops before my visit here and one after. None came close to my experience at ALB. I had Virginia as my stylist and there is a reason why she is so highly rated in other reviews. My entire family agreed that she is extremely good at her job. She listened to what I had to say, in terms of dresses, styles, designs, my wedding venue, theme, etc. I explained I loved floral and organic vibes and it wouldn't hurt if the dress had pockets. Every dress she pulled was beautiful but one dress "Jamie" stood above the rest. She's organic, comfortable, a-line and HAS POCKETS. Although I loved her I still wasn't sure about the purchase. Virginia knew my family and I traveled from Baltimore and even though she had to get to another appointment she asked another stylist (Nicole) to still assist us and help us try on gowns. Which was so thoughtful and caring. After many weeks, calls and Virginia's incredible patience with me, I purchased my wedding gown during the July sale! I am so thankful for the experience and support I received at ALB and am excited to pickup my dress and celebrate with my loved ones. Thank you Virginia and ALB for working with me!! I would give 6 stars if I could....Being a bride comes with lots of planning, worries, and concerns, but the entire ALB family makes them all disappear as soon as you walk through their doors. My stylist, Brittany, welcomed me in with open arms despite the out-of-our-control factors that would lead to an unforgettable experience that day. Let me paint the picture for you - it's a warm, late August day, I am recovering from being sick, and just 30 minutes before my appointment I have a breakdown. 2023 has thrown a LOT of tests my way, and all I wanted was to feel pretty and not sick on a very special day (my first time trying on a wedding dress EVER!). My girls went into ALB and let Brittany know the situation and she was extremely understandable and accommodating. Eyes puffy and box of tissues already in hand, I was full of emotions walking in, and all of a sudden it's like a wave of calmness swept over me. Brittany sat with me and listened to every word I said. From wedding details, designs, styles, and how I was doing emotionally, she made me feel heard. I got to pop some bubbly, have a special moment with my girls, and felt the weight come off my shoulders. (On top of all of this, the AC happened to go out in the building that day and Brittany got multiple fans to make sure I was as comfortable as possible!) When I tell you that the THIRD dress I tried on was the one, I am not kidding. THAT'S HOW GOOD SHE IS!!!! Fast forward through more tears, a few more dresses for the fun of it, and trying on THE dress one more time, Brittany sat down with me so I could collect my emotions. I knew I would be coming back again soon to try the dress on one more time and say yes officially, but ALB gave me the special day I always dreamed about. As if my experience wasn't incredible already, little did I know I had stayed 30-45 minutes past closing and Brittany didn't mention or hint to it at all. She was fully focused on making sure I got the experience I deserved and didn't want me to feel rushed. SO! Here I am 1.5 months later, with Brittany again, and I got to say YES to the dress!!!!!!!! ALB, you've outdone yourself and Brittany, you make dreams come true. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!
If you’ve ever watched say yes to the dress (I know I have) it’s just like that. You will feel so so so special, and it’s not fake. Everyone at this place clearly likes working here and likes their job. My consultant Christine was stellar. Really listened to me and looked at my Pinterest board, picked a handful of dresses… dress number two was my dress. I’ll be honest, I didn’t believe people when they said “you will know it’s THE dress”, “you’ll cry”. Well friends, I did both. Another cool thing about this place is it’s in an old bank building and they kept some of the structures. One of them is the bank vault that has a whole bunch of snacks, and if you buy the dress you get to go in. Another one is a cool phone booth where you can dial a number and leave a message for your future spouse so they can somewhat be there with you sharing your “I got the dress” moment. I cried doing that too. It was an amazing experience. I never thought I’d be buying a wedding dress at all and this is something I will never forget. Worth the drive, worth the money, worth everything.
I got my wedding dress and veil from Ava Laurenne Bride for my May wedding and the entire experience was so wonderful and magical! I got the Princess Treatment Package when I first went to try on dresses and it was SO SO much fun and one of my favorite things I did for my bridal prep! The charcuterie board they made us was delicious, the champagne was delicious, and Abi was so amazing and fun to work with. The dress came in plenty of time for alterations, was absolutely beautiful, and I truly could not have asked for a better experience.
8 years ago Ava Laurenne Bride was the first Bridal shop I had been introduced to as I became apart of the wedding industry designing and planning for clients and venues. Ever since the first day I walked into Ava Laurenne Bride I have never referred another bridal shop first or scheduled and appointment anywhere else first for my clients. The reason why is simply 2 rules. 1) You will go in thinking you know exactly why type of dress you want and you will fall in love with the complete opposite. 2) Every bride I have recommended Ava Laurenne to LITERALLY walk out having found their wedding dress that same day and first appointment. The experience you will have with the Ava team is one you will not find anywhere else. As I have almost grown with the team I can guarantee you that their outstanding team is genuine and there to ensure you find your dream dress and that you feel prepared, supported, and not stressed. I won't forget the day that Katie delivered one of my bride's dresses personally and had driven a few hours to make sure the dress was delivered on time and the measurements were correct on the bride before she left. The bride had to change her wedding plans last minute so that meant pushing the dress up by half of the year and Katie made it happen seamlessly. Also who doesn't want to take beautiful selfies in their jaw-dropping beautifully curated Bridal Shop? Sometimes you just want to sit in the floral vault or take a ride in the huge floral elevator that has a couch... Like where else can you get all of this and be treated like family and royalty? You won't regret becoming an Ava Laurenne Bride I promise.
