This place is AMAZING! Food is delicious and made with love. Staff was extremely polite and welcoming. They greeting me when I walked in and made sure to tell me about the specials! Even sent me with a menu which a lot of places don’t do anymore. I will absolutely be returning!!!
You should check your order before leaving. Too often its wrong - discovered after I get home. Once, I was given someone else' order. Catfish, greens, mac-n-cheese, yams are winners for me. Cabbage is so so. Black-eyed peas-thumbs way down for me. I ordered smothered pork chops. Nice chops but didn't come smothered. I asked for a side of gravy - didn't happen. Find what you like and stick with that. AFAIK, it's the only show in town for soul food.
I visited on last Wed. I got fried chicken greens,sweet potatoes, dressing and peach cobbler everything was wonderful. I am going back today for more .I have been telling everyone about this great soulfood. Thank you for the great food we needed it in the Merriville area. Marsha
Corn bread stale. RIb tips drowned in sauce. Taste of ribs lost. Mac and cheese: lots of cheese minute amount of MACARONI. Baby sized chicken wings. Two small sized Perch. Very disappointed for the loss of above $53. Would not recommend anyone to patronize.Not enough food for price and quality of food poor.
The food was 🔥🔥🔥🔥😍😍😍. I got the turkey (tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection), macaroni (cheesy and very flavorful), yams (buttery, sweet deliciousness), DRESSING was so good, make you want to slap yo momma (just kidding mom lol). My husband got the greens and he said they were awesome as well. Everything we ordered was out of this world DELICIOUS. The lady at the counter was very nice. I would absolutely recommend this place.
