I worked at the Day Program under Robynne K Brown. I was wrongfully terminated after she yelled and screamed at me during what was supposed to be a discussion. She immediately made a phone call and LIED saying that there was a verbal altercation, when I did not yell back at her. I witnessed a staff being assaulted and they claimed that I made a false statement about it, in an attempt to cover it up. The customers are wonderful, it’s the management that makes this place horrible. They show favoritism and fire the ones that they personally dislike. A lot of things are covered up here when it comes to the customers. When customers or staff are hit or abused, it’s not reported. Robynne likes to lie and manipulate the parents into thinking that their kids will be participating in community activities when she actually doesn’t provide money for the clients to do anything within the community. There are little to no supplies within the building and the staff are told to look busy whenever there’s a tour or visitor in the building. Parents are given schedules with locations on them that the customers are not going to. Most of the time, we were sent out of the building with little to no funds to take the customers somewhere they’d enjoy. Dave believes whatever she says without actually knowing how discriminative and hostile she is and the the unstable environment that is created here. Again, I loved the customers here, they are nothing short of amazing and actually made my day.
I live next-door to a home owned and operated by Emerge. They are a bit of a nightmare and I would not trust my loved ones to be in their care. The mission of a group home is to integrate one into the community. Not once have this group of people ever responded to issues presented to them by me re: hearing abusive language used, employees having their family members come do laundry, hang out etc... Now, I have an issue with an excessive barking dog in the care of one of their employees. No one responds. Not to mention the house is literally falling apart. Good luck if you choose them. Having worked in health care , for some reason, group home or home health is simply ignored re: its responsibilities. I'm not sure why
The house that my brother was living in is disgusting. I don't know how the health department allowed it.When he needed a wheelchair they never got it for him even though we requested it for him at least 5 times.
I'm tired of the disrespectfulness that my husband is going through we just got married that has my husband goes through so much they don't listen in their disrespectful they hold back his money and threaten him someone he needs to go to the crew to earn his money in fact his mother is his guardian and she's not taking responsibility I'm tired of it and it will all be stopped I'm not no longer an emergent I have not been in for years I left due to the fact that they are not responsible and many people have died anymore because they were not taking care of properly I would be careful choosing this program because they are it is not a good program for people with disabilities
When we visited it was wonderful. Robin seem professional. However, she didn't do paper work to complete the process for my son to attend. She never returned phone calls from my Service coordinator. A year and a half later i had a meeting with emerge being in attendance and she never apologized for not doing anything. She sat there with her hands folded on the desk and with a straight face while her coworkers apologized for everything. Another person getting paid for doing nothing but I'm sure glad that my son didn't end up there after reading all these reviews.
