My first and last experience with Starbound was this week at Foxwoods. My family found it VERY disturbing that the staff allowed a grown man to pass out awards on stage in spandex short shorts and high heels. The next day one male judge who was dressed almost professionally the day before, showed up in a floor length gown wearing a corset and huge white beads. My granddaughter thought it was a Halloween costume. This is NOT professional behavior.
This was the WORST dance competition. Completely unorganized, out of order, terrible sound for the vocal/acting competitors, roof that was leaking all over the stage, and THREE HOURS behind schedule. So much confusion and things going wrong. I really hope our school never dances in Starbound again. Just awful.
Engineering could be better, horrible segways!!! Karaoke bars have better sound engineers!! My ears are ringing. Doesn't turn music down during judge's break. Venue is no good,A/C is working well. Building is leaking. Music is entirely to loud. The speakers are distorted from it being to loud!!! Engineering really needs to improve!!!! Turn it down!!!!!! rachelle needs to talk softly or turn her mic down! All around an awful experience! It's like being at amateur hour!!They are supposed to be professionals! The sound board operator is definitely amateur!! These kids deserve better!
We love Starbound continues to be one our company's favorite competitions to attend. The staff is always so professional as well the director the most loving person. The events consistent and organized. We have nothing but amazing things to say and recommend attending! competition has fair judging
Throughout the years I have been to many dance competitions and never have I witnessed such poor behaviour from the directors who run this dance competition. They treat dancers like cattle and do not care whatsoever about their wellbeing it is only the almighty dollar that they care about. They put on an elaborate show in front of the camera about how family oriented they are but behind the scenes is a different story...8 year olds are expected to compete after 11:00pm when they had been there from before 8:00 in the morning only to turn around and have to dance early the very next morning. When studio directors try to point this out they are ridiculed and told their dances will be pulled and not danced until 12:00pm. This from people whom claim to be not only adults but there for the children. The list is endless of what saw at this competition.
