I can’t say enough about BWOL! Ever since I have joined 6 months ago, every event I’ve attended has been a delight. We enjoy a variety of activities, from attending performances, social events, and dinners out to learning new hobbies and volunteering. Even though there’s a variety of activities to participate in, there’s never any pressure to attend. I just RSVP to do the things I want to do and skip the ones I don’t. I meet women from all over the city in all age groups, from 20s to 60s, and everybody gets along quite well. Events and activities are well thought out, and I love that all I have to do is pay for my ticket and show up. The founder and organizers are very welcoming, and I think that’s why the group attracts so many other awesome women. This group has given me an instant social life and an easy way to build black female friendships without all the planning and effort, and I’m thrilled to be apart.
This is an amazing group of wonderful women 👸🏾. The events are always well organized and enjoyable. The activities are plentiful with new and exciting adventures. The ladies are so welcoming and inviting that you never feel like a 'newbie' ☺️. I encourage any black female to become a member of this enchanting group of women to enrich your life, enhance your outlook and expand your social circle. BWOL is by far the best social group ever. I moved to Louisville about a year and a half ago. I was fresh out of a divorce. I was looking to reinvent my social life. I stumble upon BWOL on Meetup. The women in this group are awesome. Crystal the founder is Phenomenal. The activities that she plans for the group is on point. This group has definitely changed my social life. I couldn’t have asked or prayed for a better group of women than BWOL. When I say I love this group I mean it.💜💯👍🏾👌🏾
Join! Join!! As a person newer to Louisville, KY. My experience has been amazing. I'm super grateful for BWOL (Black Women of Louisville). It's always a time! I never feel left out or like a stranger. It’s great meeting new women! The women are always nice, always! It's a true sisterhood!
I joined last fall and started going to events in January 2023. I’ve attended a good number of events since and have felt very comfortable at each outing-which says a lot being an introvert! I love being able to have unique experiences with women of color-no drama, no negativity-just like-minded individuals who are open to fun and new things.
