The crab cakes are worth the hype - lots of meat and a good size. Fast and friendly device, too. The catfish poboy was also delicious.
If you like crab, you must go. Huge chunks of crab, piled high, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Aptly named. All other crab cakes will be a disappointment after this, I wish I lived nearby! Super quick service, order at the counter then you can dine in or take out.
My experience definitely wasn't what I thought it would be after given all the wonderful reviews. My problem is with the crab cake although it tasted good,It was full of crab shell and I had to completely tear my crab cake up to get the shells out after I had swallowed a few of them! The macaroni and cheese also had a spoiled taste to it, it was inedible also. I definitely expected a better experience given the price that you pay and all the great reviews.
To be honest, I have not yet been in the restaurant but when they set up food truck style at Winchester Brew Works, my wife and I had their crab cake sandwich and shrimp, it was absolutely perfect! I was born and grew up in Maryland and have haunted the Delmarva most of my life and I can honestly say that I have never had a better crab cake. It was all backfin and tender but firm and spiced just right. Highly recommended!
We have been here many times and love the food. Staff here have always been very pleasant and helpful when we place our order and pick up. Today we encountered a very rude and seemingly unhappy person taking the orders at the counter. She also was on her cellphone the whole time. Our order for takeout was not difficult as we knew exactly what we wanted when we walked up to counter. We were surprised to encounter such an unpleasant person. I believe we were interfering with whatever she was doing on phone and it irritated her. She definitely needs some training in customer service and an attitude adjustment. She treated every customer that came in after us the same way. Your food is too good to be ruined by unfriendly and unhelpful staff. (The ladies cooking and fulfilling the orders were very nice.)
