The hype about this restaurant is actually true. We had a awesome experience with everything. Top notch service & customer service was excellent. It did not take long for our food to come out. Everything we order was freshly made and we did not have to send anything back to the kitchen. Music selection was awesome. I love the fact the host incorporated a praise break with kirk Franklin 🤣❤️🙏🏾 The $5 frozen margaritas was so good ,especially the strawberry & mango flavors. It's worth the money and the wait. This establishment opens at 10am, so you would want to arrive between 9am or 9:30 am. We waited a 1/2 hour after they opened to be seated. GOOD VIBES!! If you're in New Orleans check them out.
I went here during my birthday week with my best friend and the food did not disappoint. I honestly feel that it was overpriced for some breakfast/brunch but it was good nonetheless, except my best friend didn't care for the grits. The music was pretty good as well; they had a good mix. However, I did not care for the waitress. She was very unattentive, and we had to ask several times for the receipt and when we finally got it, all it had was the total, it was not itemized with everything we had and the pricing. We asked for it as we felt we were overcharged and wanted to see how much the gratuity was as it's automatically included. 🤦🏻♀️ I guess next time I visit NOLA I have to be specific.
We got there shortly after opening on a busy Essence Fest weekend. Waited in line for about 15 minutes for a party of 8 (we were lucky). For it to be so busy, the servers did a great job keeping up with the tables. The heat was the only problem. The food ... Man, listen, the whole table finished their meals! I played it safe by getting the Nice Guys Breakfast. The grits were amazing! My stepdad had the fried catfish and grits. My mom had the salmon and grits. My brother had something with a biscuit. When he bit into it, he closed his eyes and shook his head. Said that was the best biscuit he ever tasted! The atmosphere provided by Jude was top notch!! He kept the crowd thoroughly entertained, never missing a beat.
Food was really good and everyone enjoyed it. Only thing was that our order was lost so we had to reorder our food and drinks for a party of 12 so that was an inconvenience. Otherwise we enjoyed ourselves. They were partying lol! Oh and if you go for Sunday the line is very long but we only waited for about 45 mins which we were expecting 2 hours. You have to get there early.
Food was fried well but with no seasoning (fried lobster). I had the Cajun nachos and the cheese tasted like concession stand cheese the presentation was very good but nothing special about the taste. The flat bread was good and the creamy blend was flavorful. The wings were fried perfectly and the seasoning was very good! The ranch for the wings could have used more authenticity and it tasted more like bottle ranch with a tart after taste. Unfortunately customer service was disappointing and abrasive. We were told our entire party must be present but the place was empty. We went to the bar to wait on our party only to not get the happy hour prices. My drink was good but it would have been better if it was strained - it had a lot of pulp and seeds. The other people in my party did not enjoy their drinks and they said they were watered down and not strong. They specialize in Brunch — we were unaware that a weekday would not be as busy and was looking forward to the vibe and DJ. We were def discouraged by staff from watching social media to determine our expectations of this place 😬
