Lovely shop with great customer service. I’m loving all of their products so far, they are high quality and leave my skin feeling amazing. I made a mistake with my order, & they were very quick to respond & provide a solution for me. I will definitely be coming back!
This review is long overdue but I’m so happy to be taking the time to finally do it. Freedom Apothecary has become the only place I get my skin care products and facials from. I’ve been a customer since my son was 6 months old—he’s almost 3 now—and dealing with some postpartum breakouts and hyperpigmentation. Allyson got me on a regimen that was simple and WORKED! My skin has since cleared and stays clear. Whenever I have an issue I can pop into the shop for advice and a chat from Bonkosi and Richelle and even book a virtual consult with Allyson who has since left the city. When she left I have to admit I was so hesitant to try someone else. A few months ago I finally gave in and booked a Freedom Facial with Richelle and before I can explain I’m tearing up because of how beautifully spiritual the experience was. I was deeply touched by Richelle’s kindness, expertise and gentle spirit. Her hands feel like they were blessed by the GODS and don’t take my word for it, pop in to the shop and see for yourself. I also have to say that Richelle being as INCREDIBLE as she is at her craft is a testament to owners Bonkosi and Morissa. It’s not easy to find people like Allyson and Richelle and they found them both. Their love for what they do and how they use their business and space to inspire and connect is evident and I have the utmost respect and love for them.
This place is supposed to offer, “luggage storage” through a third party app Bounce. Employee/Owner failed to show during their store hours. After 1.5 hours she shows up and didn’t “feel well”. Not a reliable business…
get here asap! morrisa's energy is warm & intoxicating to be around. and not that this matters, but she is stunning & looks like a teenager. whatever she's using i'd like some, please! this is a space for folks -- black femmes in particular -- to absolutely spoil themselves & luxuriate. black femmes need that so much, especially in the times we are in. this was one of my first stops while visiting nola and will be a go-to. it contains everything that makes this magical city great. ✨️
the staff really went above and beyond for me and made me feel like a valued customer. they exceeded expectations and gave a great experience, plus have a great store with an awesome variety of products
