I rarely eat lunch out, but today I decided to buy a chicken sensation salad. When I opened it I immediately noticed that all of the red lettuce was terribly wilted, so much so that it ate through the romaine lettuce. I walked several blocks to take it back. I must say they were kind enough and provided fresh lettuce. When I got back to the office and put the dressing on it, it tasted like nothing more than Italian dressing which I do not care for. This is far from what most people would consider a sensation salad which has somewhat of a creamy look and texture. Probably first and last trip to this place.
Today I enjoyed the Downtown chicken salad sandwich. I live in Dallas and frequently have dined in Baton Rouge visiting my daughter in college. The Chicken salad sandwich was one of the best things I’ve eaten in Baton Rouge in 5 years hands down. The atmosphere and employees were also awesome. I’m definitely coming back when I return.
Delicious, down home cooking with fresh ingredients. Grab some of her Black Pepper Seasoning.
Chef Celeste recently helped me with a catering event. So helpful and she supports newer chefs in getting their businesses going, which I really appreciate. Highly recommend.
The small serving line ran under this name at Baton Rouge Spine hospital is mostly TERRIBLE with spots of goodness. It's had a chef with a bad attitude and various sorts of problems. Ran out of eggs this morning before 8 o clock . They made a Syrup peach concoction because they are out of syrup. They are out of Pepper. They make Hard biscuits most of the time or miniature ones. I am not the only one with this on my mind. Most employees share this sorry Excuse of a cafeteria.
