Loved this place. Upper deck had awesome views of that harbor! Got the Fish Sandwich and fish and chips. Fried fish was very light and not greasy and the tartar sauce was soooo delish! Would go here again.
Ten of us were at the 1828 restaurant on 7/17/23 for a coworkers retirement lunch. We were on the 3rd floor inside Ski Club portion of the restaurant. We ordered several appetizers, the grilled salmon was fantastic, I had the blackened chicken over the salad, others had the lobster rolls and fish and chips. All the food was great, the service friendly and attentive and the atmosphere fantastic. Our group was from all over New England and one from Delaware and today a day later the other nine all called to thank me for choosing such a super place. Highly recommend it!!
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The steak was amazing. Cute environment, nice outdoor seating and beautiful view. Definitely recommend!
My spouse and I randomly stopped by here after exploring the area on Christmas Eve around midday. We decided to take a chance and see if they were still open for brunch, and indeed they were. We did not anticipate it being one of the best brunch experiences we've had yet! The food was delicious, the drinks marvelous, and the service couldn't be friendlier or more welcoming. We didn't have a reservation, but the bar was perfect for the two of us. Thanks for providing us a wonderful memory from our mini vacation!
To start, I would definitely recommend trying this place. A couple things were just slightly off for us, but we will be back. They have a lot to offer. Ocean views, multi-level building with several themes tying back to this locations historical beginnings (outside and inside options). We ate on the third floor “Ski Lodge”. They had a great cozy bar with very cool drink menu. Bar service was professional and attentive. We had the cheese plate, very fun accoutrements. We are every last bite. Oysters were fresh but could have been colder/chilled more. Mushroom ravioli with tarragon cream had great flavor. Pasta was a little dense. Haddock with crab and lobster sauce. Great porting and haddock was could perfectly. Crab, mashed potatoes, Swiss chard were all flavorful and complimentary to the dish. Lobster sauce was bland & a let down, but overall still a good dish. I know that this place is a great spot in the summer, with lighter fare offered waterside with fried seafood, lobster rolls, etc... Great to see they’ve renovated this spot. The location is incredible. Will keep trying and going back. The have many options and change up the menu.
