Love Akyra! Her salon is cute and welcoming! I’ve been here several times and plan to continue coming here regularly! I have always been pleased with my appointment and the end result. I’ll be bringing my four year old in next week for a curly cut. I def recommend Wholeness Hair Clinic to everyone!
What a wonderful experience. Akyra, the owner is friendly, attentive, and professional. I am used to DC “high end” prices and supposedly high end haircut. Last time, I wanted to cry after my haircut and $200. Too much confidence and talk but no skills to back up the talk. I paid at Akyra a super reasonable price and I had a smile on my face at the end. I wanted a short and easy to maintain haircut. She gave me exactly that. I still look good after a shampoo and a bath. She is a humble hairstylist that could teach a few things to high end DC hairstylists. Her salon is very open, comfortable, and has a relaxing feel. Akyra is also very careful with Covid. She wipes down everything.
I visited for my first time this week and Akyra was everything I've ever needed in a hair professional! She was knowledgeable, inviting, and extremely kind. She had great recommendations down to how my diet impacts my hair health! Akyra was fantastic and I'm so glad to have found a natural hair stylist in this area. I'll definitely be back!
I hadn't had a haircut since pre-pandemic, Fall of 2019. Even before the pandemic, I'm not one to get my haircut frequently. My hair texture is very mixed-- bits of it straight, a bit curly, sometimes frizzy, sometimes wavy, sometimes curly. I rarely enjoy a haircut or the results of the cut. In early January, I went for a haircut at the Wholeness Hair Clinic and it was the best haircut I've had in decades! She really sculpted my hair to fit my face and personality. I liked it when I left the saloon that day and have grown to love it more as the cut does well even on challenging hair days. I highly recommend Wholeness Hair Clinic, I'll definitely go back!
