Great experience at The Ridley. Super convenient location and really nice employees. I didn’t realize it was part of a hotel at first either. Drinks were great and food was delicious. Loved the crispy brussel sprouts as an appetizer. Prices are pretty standard for a hotel based restaurant. Would definitely go back. Now for my standard comments. Location was clean and felt comfortable with the indoor seating options.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Charlottesville. The service is unmatched. Our server Andrew truly cared about our experience. The recommendations he made for us were spot on. You just try the peach mule, refreshing and tasty with a hint of sweetness, the perfect summer cocktail. We came for restaurant week and could not put our forks down. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had while in Highly recommend!

August 3, 2023 I highly recommend the deviled eggs ..the burger was great also...consistently great wait staff. Will be back to try more menu items! Went here during Restaurant Week July 2023. First night: The watermelon and peaches in the salad were not fresh and tasted horrible..the rest of the salad was great except I would recommend trimming the long stems of the sprouts back a little bit because they stick way out of your mouth trying to eat the salad. The dressing was good..the Charred honey butter corn served under the chicken was fantastic..the corn and chard both fresh and a good blend! The herb roasted heirloom potatoes were plentiful and presalted..there is no salt or pepper on the tables I noticed. The chicken was so so..I recommended they look into getting Bell & Evans brand into their restaurant...now onto dessert..well the cocktail The Draftsman Old Fashioned and the Warm Apple pie with vanilla ice cream will bring me back..both 5 star**** Second night: had the Pomegranate Blossom cocktail..very sophisticated drink..heard the bartender had been at it for 20 years! Drinks are pricey ($16) but worth it..the Blackened catfish entree was really special. A huge thick piece of catfish perfectly done on a bed of green tomato chutney, rice and black eyed peas and green collards. As usual the cast iron hot dutch apple pie with vanilla ice cream topped off the delicious meal! Well done Ridley staff & chef!

Stayed at the Draftsman hotel in Charlottesville, VA and had lunch here before flying back to LGA. Sparsely filled with diners, food was mid-level hotel quality, not special, but definitely not bad either. Highlight was our server Selena who recommended the ranch dressing with the fries. Made all the difference in enjoying our lunch, thank you Selena!
