First off let me say that this review is based off nothing but accountability. I found Jericia via recommendation from a close friend . It was a sigh of relief to find a therapist that "looked like me. " This quality was very important to me so I was excited to start my journey with Jericia. However, my eyebrows were initially raised when I arrived for our first session. Upon arrival the office was empty. Jericia was a no call no show. I immediately texted her with a gracious heart and I learned of an emergency that had occurred. I DID NOT HOLD THIS AGAINST HER because I am human and I really wanted to support her and her business. I felt like I had found a diamond in the rough so I was willing to brush this off. I felt like this gem of a small business may have been dusty but it still had value and I was not willing to throw its away just yet. Therefore, we rescheduled and our second appointment but first meeting went well. I felt invigorated and ready to heal. Jericia was a great listener and offered a sense of understanding while offering suggestions for progress. Recently I was able to afford her again. (she is fairly priced I am just a broke college student lol) With an appointment already set, I called her office a few days before to confirm everything. I immediately felt uneasy when her receptionist seemed to have a hard time locating the appointment but the appointment was eventually confirmed. I pushed my uneasiness aside only to arrive and be disrespectfully greeted by the same deafening silence, locked door and lights off from our first missed appointment. I waited. I texted. I called. Still no response. Until this day I have called a couple times only to be directly sent to voice-mail. I do not appreciate my time being under valued. I drove 30min three different times to get some help and life tools but I have only had one session. I do not write this review with contempt only to say DO BETTER.
Jericia is an excellent therapist and the Renewal staff is super nice and helpful! Every time I have a session with Jericia I feel lighter afterwards. I highly recommend Jericia Johnson & Renewal Counseling.
Excellent people, great to work with. Highly recommend to anyone in need. Mrs.Johnson is one of the most kind hearted and friendly people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Thank y’all so much.
