I wanted to love this place! 4:30 reservation, arrived on time and was seated upstairs in VIP. The establishment is nice as far as decor. Waitress brought water and I ordered a cocktail ( In Bloom, which I enjoyed) as I waited for my friend to arrive. Once she arrived she immediately started inquiring about drinks, everything she ordered they either didn't have or the bartender couldn't make because she was new. Once my friend finally settled on a drink that they could provide, we ordered off the restaurant week menu. For appetizers we both ordered the wings, sour cream and onion and lemon pepper, both in my opinion were good. Main entrees I ordered the shrimp and crab pasta which I thought was good however it was a small portion, there was no crab at all and the temperature was less than hot. My friend ordered the salmon, risotto and asparagus entree which came with hollandaise. She asked for the hollandaise on the side, when it came they bought out two small cups of what looked like gravy straight out the can, lumpy and it was ice cold. When we inquired with the waitress awe were told that they only served the hollandaise warm when it was in the entree! That made no sense. So we sent it back and asked them to bring two new ones, warmed which she did. Once that happened my friend ate her food, over all she said the salmon was well cooked, risotto was more like sticky rice and asparagus was over cooked. The desert entree was apple bread pudding. Came out hot but was a bit dry and wasn't accompanied with any type of ice cream or sauce, hence the dry. As far a service, the waitress was ok. She never cleared our appetizer plates before main entree or never came back to refill water. When we got our check we pad with cash and ordered an ice water and desert to go. 15 mins went by and she still wasn't back, finally she arrived, changed was balled up as if we were conducting an illegal transaction, no receipt, didn't have our water or desert. So we left a tip STILL, and walked down to wait for the other items. Once downstairs she finally bought a printed receipt, told us they had no lids for the to go cups so we couldn't get water, and still didn't have our desert. It doesn't take 25 mins to box a slice of cheesecake. The restaurant was not busy at all. For the price they are charging they can do better with service and the food. I'm hoping that with time this restaurant gets better bc it has the potential to be great, they just aren't there yet. I'm a complete foodie and I pay for top quality food and service, that was not what we received today.
I will have to say that thank God the drinks were very good, food was somewhat good, because the wait, waiter, having to wait to be greeted when got there and the restaurant was empty. Also if you sit upstairs is 20% automatically gratuity and they donโt even mention that. My server was so lost, she keep asking what we wanted over and over and looks like she didnโt knew how to operate that thing to take orders. Brought us the food and we had to ask for silverware. We had the chicken wings with korean bbq, they were good along with the ribeye (I asked medium well) , the mac and cheese no flavor and greasy. The fish (flavor was good)supposed to come out with plantains and they didnโt bring them on the plate. Overall not recommend but at least the drinks were super good and the bartender looks like he was the only one that knew what he was doing.
Prime 255 is a fantastic new addition to the dining scene with great food, drinks, and an upbeat atmosphere. We were able to secure bar seating, which provided ample space to enjoy our meal. However, I recommend booking a reservation a few days in advance as they were quite busy. The bartenders were lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. The music was enjoyable and not too loud, allowing for easy conversation with my friends. We all enjoyed our drinks and especially the food. This is a wonderful spot for a night out with friends or a romantic date, and I can't wait to try it out for brunch someday! We ordered a variety of dishes, and everything was delicious. The Parmesan Truffle Fries were a mouthwatering starter, and the Avocado Spinach Crab Dip was so good that we polished off the bowl. The Prime Grilled Wings with Buffalo sauce were topped with a delightful lemon pepper seasoning. The Pacific, a salmon dish, was cooked to perfection, while the Wild Cajun dish's spinach stole the show. Our favorite dish of the night was the Shrimp & Grits. The Red Wine Ribs were also a hit as our plates were cleared. Overall, Prime 255 is a must-visit spot for excellent food, drinks, and a fun atmosphere.
I ordered the shrimp and crab alfredo pasta with old bay wings drizzled in korean bbq sauce. The pasta came out very milky at first and i talked to my server and had it remade and it was 10/10. the wings was slightly salty with the old bay seasoning but I didnโt mind and with the korean bbq sauce I would give it 8/10. The drink I ordered was the side chick and it was delicious. The atmosphere is amazing and great place to chill for a date night.
