Pig & Brew has an excellent barbeque sandwich and delicious drinks! We came here on a weekday during lunch and service was very fast! We ordered the lunch special of the Bbq sandwich and fries and also enjoyed an extra side of Mac and Cheese. The portions were large and great for the price! We got to go rum punches which were dangerously good.
I like the atmosphere. It's a nice spot to go for lunch. I came back for the fish, yet it didn't taste so much like the first time. I'm going to double check my past notes and make sure it was the same fish. The mac and cheese was a miss; the flavor was odd and it just wasn't cheesing, yet the green beans cooked in turkey meat was absolutely delicious!! For an appetizer we had the sliders which were okay and the fried wingettes were tasty with a nice crunch, but mmmm just needed more seasoning. I would suggest more desserts on the menu. The only option on this visit was peach cobbler.
Went on a Friday evening for dinner and it was busyy. Definitely recommend making a reservation if you go on the weekend. The food was tasty and everything was seasoned well. Also didn’t take long for the food to come out. My only complaints were the fries weren’t hot when served, and it was very loud inside, probably because of how small the place was and how packed it was.
We ate at Pig & Brew today in Richmond. It was absolutely scrumptious! I got the lunch special which was a shredded meat sandwich (chicken or pork), the crispiest fries I've had in a while, and cole slaw with a pleasant, homemade taste. The mac & cheese was soft and cheesy. Yum! The waitress was stunning. Surprisingly so. (I know that doesn't matter in restaraunt reviews, but it's what I recall most about her.) She seemed to have a 6th sense about when we needed her. She was attentive and personable. The prices were fair and the portions were generous. I'd recommend this place to anyone at any time.
We’d been wanting to visit for some time now. I’ll jump straight to it. The food They didn’t have -Lemonade -Mac & Cheese -Boiled eggs I initially ordered a house salad with boiled egg and we ordered chicken sliders. The chicken sliders were great. The house salad not so much. The lettuce was brown. They also didn’t tell me until they were out of boiled eggs until the salad was brought to the table. I ordered the beef brisket with potato salad & collards. He ordered ribs with baked beans & corn bread. The beef brisket was extremely moist, tender but not well seasoned. But still good with bbq sauce. The potato salad was more salad than potatoes almost tasted as if it was too much mayo & mustard mix in which you couldn’t really taste any of the other ingredients such as the potatoes & eggs. The cornbread taste more like cake muffins with cornbread flavor. They are very fluffy like cake. But still pretty good. The baked beans were pretty good & the collards did well. I would revisit to try something different, but it isn’t high on my list.
