Love the welcoming and friendly atmosphere!! Very neat and clean. Everything looked good. I decided to get a chocolate chip cookie snickerdoodle cookie and two donuts. They were all very flavorful and soft. I did like how there was a bookcase of family oriented items. It definitely shows that family is important.
Enjoyed the cotton candy cupcakes and especially the boston creme tub of chocolate-y goodness. Highly recommend stopping in for a few tasty calories :)
Upon stepping into Mrs. Joy's you already feel so welcome. The owners are so sweet and greet you right away no matter how long the line. 5 stars for fast response and great communication through email, 5 stars for friendliness, and 5 stars for execution. My son wanted a flag birthday cake made out of cupcakes and it turned out beautiful and delicious. We were visiting from out of state and celebrating with our family in town and a baker who I had scheduled previously canceled on us last minute, and Mrs. Joy quickly responded to my email in distress with her offer to help. It was a great experience all around!
Visited Mrs. Joys on the way home after spending the day in Natural Bridge. It was a little out of our way home, but definitely worth the trip. We got a chocolate chip cookie (still warm from the oven), a cream puff, apple fritter and a donut. All of them were so tasty! Especially the apple fritter, probably the best one I've ever had. It was somehow both dense and light. We'll be back to try the cinnamon rolls for sure!
We stopped one evening as she was closing and she was kind enough to let us in…her Scottish shortbread cookies are the best I have EVER had!! Her goodies are made with love and worth every penny and then some. It is a MUST STOP if you are in the area.
