Food was really good but the service was sub-par at best. It took a very long time to get our drinks, our food, our to go plates and our receipt. Our waitress was just not attentive at all. The restaurant was not busy either. It was in the evening and only about 3 other customers with 3 waitresses working. If the service was better I would have given it 4 or 5 stars. The food was very good. I ordered the fried chicken with sweet potato waffles. Really flavorful. My daughter had the Salmon hash and that was also delicious. Maybe it was just our waitress that was the problem because I saw another waitress(she had piercings) that was on point with the other customers. They were getting their drinks and food before us and we arrived before they did. I would recommend going for the food and ask for the waitress with the piercings.
I enjoyed the shrimp and grits! I usually don’t like grits but this place made it extremely seasoned and smooth. It was a generous portion as well! I also got their signature milk and honey iced latte and thought it was smooth and not to strong or sweet of a coffee. I also tried the wings and loved the seasoning hot honey with lemon pepper! Lastly, the mimosas flight flavors were a nice touch because you could enjoy all the flavors offered!
Discovered this place for a quick happy hour while staying in Sterling for couple days for business. Food: Was pretty decent overall - chicken wings were pretty delish but cheesy grits, not so much. It was surprisingly watered down and I can say that I've had better cheese grits at founding farmers. Service: Bartender that greeted me at the bar and brought out my first cocktail and app disappeared on me. Some of her colleagues checked in on me every now and then but they were congregated in front of the kitchen entrance, laughing and chatting amongst themselves. I cannot entirely blame them since it happened to be a very slow Monday night for the restaurant.
This was my first time coming to this restaurant and I was quite impressed. The decor and vibe are really warm & friendly. The staff was down-to-earth and we were seated quickly. Our server, Earl, was excellent! He was attentive, kind, and personable. Our food was brought out quickly and he gave us some great recommendations, which we took him up on. My friends & I shared the shrimp and grits, rumchata soaked French toast, & the country scramble. We also tried the mimosa flight, which was recommended by Earl. It was delicious. Our favorite was the lavender mimosa. Milk & Honey did not disappoint. 10/10 recommend! I’ll be bringing my husband back here soon! :)
The food here was so good. Had Jambalaya, chicken and biscuits, and bourbon wings. All were fantastic. Didn’t care for the juice shooter flight, but who cares. Awesome southern food.
