Absolutely loved this restaurant. Incredible cornbread and crab cakes. The best part was the service. Zach S was funny, kind, attentive, and someone that makes you want to go back just for the experience. 10/10 would recommend. We will definitely be back!
First of all Norman C, our waiter was the absolute best. Professional, humorous, attentive yet let us eat...he was great!! Now, this was our first visit and I love the venue. We shared The Ultimate, which gave us a healthy sample of everything. Fresh, hot, incredibly seasoned,...Delicious. The Croaker Spot Petersburg is the Truth!!
We dined in to celebrate my husband's bday. The wait was an hour for a party 7. It was worth the wait. The food and atmosphere is great. Our server was awesome. The food tasted great and the portions were large. Highly recommend!
Horrible experience! Party of three, seated immediately. One hour and five minutes later, our sodas, water, and glass of wine arrived. Sodas were wrong. Couple beside us, who were seated several minutes after us, received their food before we even received our drinks. Appetizers finally came an hour and 30 ish minutes mark. Main meal arrived well after 2 hours mark. While we sat, the same experience happened to another couple. They sat forever waiting for their drinks to arrive. Meanwhile, a couple across from them who were seated well after them received drinks and food before their drinks arrived. Restaurant was not crowded and had multiple open tables. Food was ok, but not worth the price and definitely not worth the gross inequity of service. Fried oysters were tiny, oysters Rockefeller were gritty and had shell pieces in them but had a good taste, fish was very bony. Five buffalo shrimp appetizer were very small salad size shrimp but sauce was delicious. I give this one star only because zero stars is not an option. Will never return. Please don’t confuse this with the Richmond croakers spot. The Richmond restaurant is wonderful in every way.
Meals were great portion size for the dollar amount. They have a full service bar, which allows you to wait for your table. The food is on the expensive side, but the clam chowder was really good. $11 for a cup of soup and $15.50 for a bowl, which comes with a piece of Cornbread. No refills on fountain drinks. Bar drinks were made very good. They do allow for group events on the second floor. The server was nice!
