First time at this restaurant but it had been on my list! Amazing food and the nicest people! Excellent customer service and atmosphere. I had the whole snapper, Mac n cheese and plantains. The drink menu looks extensive. I will be back! Thanks for being so awesome!
Started with the Bob Marley Cocktail just as yummy as they look. Jerk wings for appetizer had a nice punch. Beans and rice a little dry for me, cabbage was out of this world, Mac and cheese was great. Collard greens a little too much vinegar and pepper, would prefer to add my own if I needed to. Had the shrimp it was cooked very well. Potatoes salad was good but on the sweet side. All staff speak to you and are warm and welcoming. Our server might need a little more training; seemed nervous and unsure. Besides that I would go back.
I will continue to come here. This Jerk Salad was amazing but more importantly, THIS place and its workers were so kind. I felt the love of my black community given to me and that was something that made me know that I was welcomed!
I'm going to dearly miss this place! My fiance and I found this place last year when we moved to Roanoke and honestly it ate up a lot of our weekends as we'd look forward to Friday/Saturday nights to spend time here. The staff is amazing and the food was great! We fell in love with the cornbread, sweet daddy tea, and oxtails (definitely don't knock it until you've tried it, they're like stew ribs). We left Roanoke this past summer but we still think about how awesome all the food was here. This was probably one of the first places I ever ordered EVERYTHING on the menu because everything was just THAT good. Go try them out and get a taste of real Carribean food!
So once again my favorite Jamaican spot has left me full and happy. Celebrated my birthday there this evening with family. Started with the Bob Marley cocktail that was really good, Jerk chicken is amazing, this is my favorite jerk ever, Red snapper was cooked perfectly and wonderfully flaky.Brown stew chicken is also really good. Some of the best Mac & cheese ever, candied yams are a must and you have to do coconut cake. The owners and staff are always so wonderful, and create an amazing relaxing atmosphere, This is a MUST GO TO if in the area.
