I love coming here! Not only do they do a great job with my hair, but the atmosphere is so friendly and positive. Most recently, Erinn went above and beyond on my hair. I came in planning just to get a trim and some layers, but before I left Erinn also did some styling at no extra cost and showed me how I could switch up the style with my part. The extra care and explanations meant a lot to me and I can't wait to come back for my next cut!
Simply Erinn's is a true community salon! Owner Erinn Pearson, and her staff understand the importance of making you feel comfortable, while respecting boundaries (those of the Salon and your own). They focus on you as a whole person with the HairStory to understand you. They take the time to understand what you want and give you great guidance on how to achieve the result. Or they will be honest and let you know that what you want is not going to work for you, and give you suggestions. I have been a long-time customer and have witnessed a new client come in shy, then leave like they are getting ready to walk the run way! Now she has added manicures and pedicures, you can leave looking and feeling refreshed in one visit! And you can't beat the location, near the #47 bus, parking is available and you have 2 places to grab a bite to eat!
I chopped all my hair off and I wouldn’t have gone anywhere else besides Erinn’s. My stylist Dierdre was great, gentle and made me feel amazing throughout the whole appointment. I left there smiling from ear to ear ☺️☺️
Love this place, ever since my first visit when I was 16 years old! Erinn always gives you the warmest welcome and always gives me some knowledge on hair care! I received a trim and left with amazing curls from Esther!! Stop in for great hair, lots of laughs and an amazing time with great women!!
BEWARE of her fast-talking! When I first began going to Simply Errin's salon, Errin analyzed the hair products I used at home and explained to me which products she believed caused breakage and did not need to be used in my hair regimen. I liked that she provided detailed explanation and reasoning for what she believes. I liked that she was forthcoming and open with her communication. I bought the KeraCare line of Hair products from her salon. She told me that whenever I come in to get my hair done, they would keep things consistent and use the same KeraCare line of hair products. Unfortunately, the good communication ended when she decided to experiment in my hair without telling me. I had been experiencing a little bit of flakeyness. Because of this, Erin decided to take it upon herself to try an entirely different line of hair products in my hair without asking me or bringing it to my attention. The problem is that she never asked if I wanted to or even made me aware that she was changing over to different products. This was a huge shift from the forthcoming person I met initially. Long story short, I had an allergic reaction to the new product and had to see a dermatologist. I experienced itchiness and hair strands falling out when I itched. After asking Errin why she never asked or told me about changing the hair products, she made it seem like she didn't have to. I was extremely shocked. She really believed that it was okay to experiment with products in my hair without my knowledge or consent. Her attitude about the entire matter was shameful and and cowardly. She tried to overtalk me when I looked for more information or explaination. She even told me that another woman who came to her experienced allergies after going to her. If that's the case, then why would you continue to take the risk of experimenting in people's hair with different products without asking them? Errin tries her best to come off as professional, but BEWARE of her FAST-TALKING! It's a red flag. It comes off as inauthentic and lacking compassion. And it comes out when she knows she is wrong and trying to get one over on you. Something to look out for if you're not too sure. I don't attend this salon anymore. I don't recommend it to anyone who wants to go somewhere they feel like their hair and scalp are safe. I don't recommend it to anyone who expects consistently open and honest communication.
