First experience at Mabell's. I've been in Cambridge for 3 years, struggling to find a stylist that a. Does natural hair styles (no weave, chemicals, or presses) b. Is within a half hour drive c. Doesn't take all of my money and leave me with a style I only kinda like. Insert Mabell. Love the style. Love her. She gave me a hug at the end. She was so respectful of my time and communicative about what I wanted and what she thought would look best. I have 4c natural hair that I have been styling myself, primarily in flat twists or puffs. I prefer curly styles with a lot of body over straight styles. Mabell did a wash, blow dry, and rod set. She also cleaned up my nape.
Super disappointed in the way the professionalism of this salon has declined greatly over the last 2 years from 2-3 people rotating touching your head at a time to not being able to get an appointment when you call to being told one price on the phone and another when you arrive to being told they will can’t back to follow up and never do. it’s disheartening and you don’t care about your customers. It shows.
This is a nice hair salon and all. But a whole joke when it comes to price. She tell me one price over the phone and when I got to the hair salon, I had to detangle 🤨my own hair. (I was there for a wash, blow dry and trim) She then moved the price up almost double. SMH 🤦🏾♀️ And rescheduled the time!!!🙂
Very professional, clean, latest ethnic styles and follows the cares protocol I feel safe here and would recommend to anyone who wants their hair to be treated right.
This place is the only place I would ever go to get my weave done. You come out looking like a Hollywood star. The owner and the stylist are sooo nice and welcoming. The atmosphere is so relaxing. Its an all black staff black owned company without the attitude. I would recommend anyone one no matter your color. I promise you they will snatch your hair. They also take care to help your hair grow not just look good for the moment. I can't say enough about them. Love them all
