Juliette is the absolute BEST! She’s so kind and will have you laughing. She’s an absolute perfectionist and will make sure your dress fits you like a glove. She knows exactly what to do and won’t steer you wrong. I was super nervous about the beaded detailing at the bottom of my dress, knowing I would need to have it hemmed. Juliette hand sewed all of the removed beaded detailing back onto the dress. It looked exactly the same when she was done. I would have never known the beading had been moved. She’ll have someone join you on your second appointment to ensure they know how to bustle and button you on your wedding day. She explains everything you need to do in detail, which is incredibly helpful! I found Juliette via a referral and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding seamstress.
I’d highly recommend working with Juliette!! She made the whole alterations process feel like a breeze and I was fully confident in her expertise from the moment I met her. Juliette immediately makes you feel comfortable and at ease. She did a beautiful job with my dress and I would highly recommend her to anyone in the Boston area!!
After my experience, I would trust Juliette with my firstborn child. Oh my gosh I feel so lucky to have found her. I got my dress from a bridal salon in the greater Boston area, and was told that "standard" alterations (hem, bustle, baaaasically nothing else) would be $795 and anything else would be charged as "custom". Juliette did all of the following: took in and shortened my illusion sleeves, hemmed, bustled, covered the plunge on my bodice with extra lace, added some lace to my open back, and, best of all, gave me complete peace of mind throughout the entire process. All of that was cheaper than the "standard" package would've been at the place I bought the dress from. I had three fittings with Juliette and each one was a delight. I looked forward to seeing her every time, she's so kind and genuinely 100% cares about her "girls" and how we feel in the most important dress we'll ever wear!! Her advice was always on point and it is always backed by her experience but you still feel like you have complete control over the dress and how it will look. My cousin/MOH, who had been with me when I bought the dress, said she couldn't believe how much more stunning it looked once Juliette was finished with it. I cannot recommend Juliette highly enough. Thank you thank you thank you Juliette, you are truly a godsend!
I can't say enough amazing things about Juliette! I found her after a less than stellar experience at a consultation with another Boston alteration shop, where I was rushed in and out and given an astronomical quote. After doing more research, I found Juliette and am so glad I brought my dress to her instead. From the first moment I walked into her shop, I felt welcomed and comfortable. She spent a lot of time with me, never made me feel rushed, and talked me through everything she was doing and why. She was meticulous, careful, insanely talented, and an amazing hype woman! My dress was form fitting and had a lot of intricate lace and when I got it back, it felt like it had been made just for me and fit like a glove. She also created the most gorgeous waterfall bustle. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day thanks to Juliette's incredible work and her pricing was also extremely reasonable and fair. I can't recommend her enough!
Juliette was great to work with, she knew the answers to all of my questions/worries about my dress & made me feel comfortable and confident. She also knew a lot about wedding dresses that I had no clue about! My dress fit perfectly and working with Juliette was stress free. I was worried that my dress would be too difficult to alter because of fine lace and beading, and it being 3 sizes too big- but Juliette fixed it without a problem and was very reasonably priced. I would recommend to any bride!
