First time staying, I was in awe if the cleanliness of the hotel, grounds & the rooms, the room was awesome, little kitchenette. I had an appointment in the area and the morning front desk gentleman allowed me a late check-out, I will definitely be going back, for a longer stay.. Highly recommend
I was planning to spend one night at this hotel. Then my alternator went out as soon as I pulled into the parking lot. Staff was incredibly accomodating and helpful, giving me late checkout times so that I wouldn't be paying for an unneeded night once my car was ready. And the kitchenette certainly came in handy!
Clean rooms. The service is absolutely excellent. My first experience at a Candlewood has been very pleasant thanks to this hotel. Highly recommend for extended business stays or just popping in.
A little out of the way but the rooms were nice. Perfect for long term stays with kitchenettes. Beds were new, no dips. Clean and nice furniture. Got a free upgrade.
I found myself in the Lansing area, needing a room, but without a reservation anyplace. Originally targeting a budget place like a Red Roof Inn, I learned a couple of popular shows were in town, and lots of the usual lodging was booked. That's when I found the Candlewood. The staff was very friendly. The room's features reminded me if a Hilton Garden Inn or Marriott Courtyard than a Red Roof room. My room had a kitchenette, so meals could be prepared if I had planned ahead. This would be a great place to stay for a week or a long weekend. There were some basics for sale in a lobby area, such as prepackaged cereal, milk, microwave popcorn, etc., but far better would be to bring groceries from home or hit a local grocery store. The bed was comforatable. Everything was super clean. I'd stay here again.
