I contemplated posting this for some time in hopes that things would smooth over and I’d become less enraged, however each day I find something to be upset about. DISCLAIMER: FULL STORY BELOW I’d been searching for a loctition that could combine my 200 locs into roughly 80, and Yaesha convinced me this was something she could do. I tried to call and talk but she never answered the phone so we only contacted via text. I booked an appointment, with Yaesha, on August 3rd via the booking site. The site asks for all the services you’d like provided and then calculates a quote based off that info. Seemed professional, but looks can be deceiving as we know. My appointment was for August 13th at 12pm. I was quoted $800 for 7 hours of work. I made arrangements to arrive 15 mins early because I was excited, but was told upon arriving that my stylist was running behind and wouldn’t arrive until another hour. She came in frantically and wasn’t too friendly, considering she was late. She started washing my hair at 1:13. At this point I’m somewhat concerned but still faithful everything would work out. I asked for a shampoo with ACV rinse, and I received both for 2 hours total. I went under the dryer at 3:18pm and didn’t get into her chair by 4:25pm. She worked for 4 hours, while we watched 2 movies and didn’t really talk much outside of what was going on in the movie. She mentioned a few times that she was in the market for an assistant and needed help bad. We stopped around 9 before Yaesha needed to stop and go assist her mother with something and we were still in the back of my head. We resumed around 9:20. We are 4 movies deep and she is more into the movies than my head. I tried to make small talk around 11:30, asking what she was looking for in an assistant and she told me the building was closing at 12 and she needed to focus. Mind you were still in the back of my head. We didn’t finish until 2:30am and I left without my hair styled like I requested and paid for. I got home around 3:20 and immediately started noticing everything wrong. I had locs that weren’t fully combined, gaps in some, and others were beginning to separate. I just went sleep I was so tired. The next morning I noticed I was missing a loc and my heart sank. I contacted her immediately and she responded to me telling me “she was tired, not because of me. Just low energy… she installed my loc in another spot on my head and she could fix anything I had an issue with”. I was given the option of coming back that Wednesday at 9pm or Friday at 4pm. Why the 9pm option was posed, I’m not sure. Nonetheless I arrived Friday at 3:50 to be asked “what time did I schedule you for 5?” Mind you, she texted me a reminder and somehow forgot. I didn’t get in her chair until 5:04pm. She said she’d check my entire head but somehow only managed to do the back left side before giving me the tightest braids. I told her they were too tight and she somehow made it worse. I left at 6:32pm with a birds nest on my head. I reached out the next day explaining how dissatisfied I was with the service to which she responded “I’m super busy and going through stuff, which isn’t your fault…” I explained how id been growing my hair for 8 years and I felt ruined, and she offered to come to my house and fix it. She’d been in my head twice already and I was scared for her to do it for a third time. I told her I’d lost trust and wanted some kind of compensation and she told me I was only due $50 for the missing loc. All in all I wouldn’t recommend her, I feel like she didn’t take me serious as a client or value my time. Since then, I’ve had 4 locs break off.

She does nice work. BUT. If she makes a mistake…she will not rectify it. She’ll SAY she will but she will not. She’ll use passive aggressive and underhanded methods about not doing it. Everybody makes mistakes, even the best of professionals do. But how they rectify their mistakes says more about them then the mistakes themselves. She would’ve still had a client out of me had she been a person of her word and that’s what’s disappointing. I’m really big on integrity. I overlooked a few things that most people wouldn’t and I was cool about it. But that’s what did it for me. I learned a lesson tho. Edit: In response to her. I DID tell her INSTANTLY that she made a mistake .She chalked it up to her having a lot of clients and her not remembering details they tell her. Nice. It was already late and I was tired because I traveled hours to get serviced. She said she would fix it for me if I make an appointment but gave me the runaround since

All I can really say is AMAZING!!!! She combined my sisterlocks into dreadlocks to save my locks. My sisterlocks were to small plus I have bleach blond hair and they were falling out. Yesha work hard on my head she spent 2 days 12 hours on my head and the end results is priceless. I love it and it is exactly what I imagined my hair to look like. My hair cost a pretty penny but it was worth it, plus you have to consider the time she spent on my head and making my dreadlocks, so it was well worth it. I thank you for your hard work and your time. I know it wasn’t easy but I thank you!!! You are very talented god blessed you with a gift, thank you!!

It was my first there and it was a very good experience, Yesha did loc conversions on my hair. She has very good conversations and we watched a very good movie while getting my hair. She was very good on the pricing with me, I just want to say thank you for the experience with you at your shop. She also taught me other things about my hair that I didn’t even know but I’m very happy with the results of hair and how it turned out. So I will be back and scheduling for my second appointment. My first experience was disappointing, my appointment was at 6pm I didn’t get in the chair until five hours later, to put the icing on the cake I asked for pipecleaners and she gave me sharpie width. I feel as though she purposely did that because she kept saying she was tired. How long have you been doing this? And you mean to tell me you don’t know how to schedule your appointments based on what takes long and what doesn’t. This is a real review I’m not sure about the other. Oh wel 245 down the drain and on to the next
