Beautiful event space. Attended a baby shower and loved the space. Looks like there was some renovating going on so it can only go up from there. At the end of the event the owners friend was cleaning up. She was polite and professional. I believe this establishment is female Black-owned which is a plus for me.
Place was really nice for repast. There is no kitchen and wasn’t pleased about paying extra to have cater setup before family arrived to repast.
The venue is beautiful and has potential to be great. However, the place was very dirty when I arrived. The floors had food from an event prior and the carpeting alone needs a deep shampooing. The walls need re-painting and the room where food is served, the carpet needs to be replaced. Even during one of the tours, my daughter had noticed an old small piece of lettuce left one of the charger plates. 🤦🏾♀️ Also the bathrooms were not clean. The place looked as if we came right behind an event of folks who half cleaned the place and no staff came to assess and clean up whatever else needed to be cleaned. The staff were nice but did not deliver satisfactory customer service as expected. I had a change in event hours a week prior to my event and was told via phone by one of the owners that she would get back to me. She never did get back to me and to make matters worse, on the day of my event, I get an email confirmation which they did not change my hours as requested. I made several calls in hope that they would honor my request and they would not answer ANY of my calls . Left several messages but to no avail. Therefore, I had to tell all my guests, many who traveled from Jackson, Michigan, and other faraway places, that there was going to be a three hour delay for our event for my first child who is preparing to be a mom. This even set my caterer behind in her schedule. This ordeal has caused me an inexplainable embarrassment. Despite all the issues I had with the venue, even if they had a bogus excuse as to why they would not honor the change in my event hours, all would have been forgiven and I would have given my guests and anybody else I knew the okay to rent this venue, had they just answered my calls. ☹️

The hall was decorated beautifully for my God childs baby shower, but the price was pretty steep.
