Nice place to stop buy and have a few drinks, food was a 3/5 for us. I ate lamb chops lollipops which was salty yet tasty I must say the dirty rice was bomb. Drinks was amazing I would recommend this spot for a Friday night for sure.and yes you will have to pay for parking near by area.
I'm from out of town so keep that in mind. The atmosphere is amazing. I love the abstract art and music. Our server and service was every bit of amazing, definitely appreciate that. The food was done the way it was supposed to but good grief. It was so heavy, the food and sauce was very rich. So I really wasn't able to finish it because my stomach was getting beat up. But maybe it's just me and where I'm from because we don't have stuff like that over there. So I'm definitely not throwing shade. I would still recommend
You have to pay to park when coming here, as it is located not too far from Minute Maid park. I only paid $2 for the metered parking on the side of the restaurant. For the appetizer, we ordered the cajun egg rolls and the crawfish empanadas. I did not care for either. The cajun egg rolls were unremarkable. The sauce served in the side overpowered the egg rolls. Not that the egg rolls had much of a flavor anyway l. The crawfish empanadas wouldn’t have been so bad if they did not have such a fishy tasty. I am a seafood lover but I was not fond of the overbearing seafood flavor that they had. The menu has a lot of good options for the main entree. I had been craving wings for a while, so I went basic and got wings and fries. This isn’t hard to mess up so I wasn’t surprised that the lemon pepper wings were good. This is a solid entree if you’re unsure of what to order. The wings were seasoned really well and my fries were good. For drinks, I got two strawberry margaritas and one gotti punch. The strawberry margarita is strong ! I was not mad at all for $5. I would not get the gotti punch again. It was really sweet and tasted as if it had little to no alcohol in it. Overall, I think this is a solid happy hour spot. I would consider coming back and trying the all day breakfast. This place is worth a try.
We were among first people to visit that day but they were out of gumbo at 11am. Took a long time to get food after ordering but most of it was good. I had catfish and grits with red velvet waffles. The waffles were light but crispy. Very good! My husband had the wings and said they were flavorful and good. We also ordered the boudin balls. My advice..pass on the boudin balls. They tasted like they were frozen and not fresh. Also they had chicken in the stuffing???? Great spot for the younger crowd.
We came here for Saturday brunch. I made an early reservation at 11 before the crowd came. Our waitress was very nice and she checked on us a lot. The drinks were good and the food was also. We had catfish and grits. And if you dont like your food heavily seasoned, this isn't the dish for you. It was really good. I could tell this is a great place to celebrate birthdays as the big groups were coming in, and DJ was setting up, I knew they'd be having a good time. There's a guy taking pics, and they frame them in nice glass frames for you for $20. Overall, I had a good experience. I will definitely return.
