The moment I walked in, I was met with peace: cleanliness, smiling faces, and good smelling food! The service was prompt and the FOOD. Native Chicagoan here. West Side…. the chicken with mild sauce and the open faced Italian beef was ON POINT. Literally nothing lacking. SAN ANTONIO CHICAGOANS, THEY GOT WHOLE CHICKEN WINGS. This is not a drill… and the mild sauce is LEGIT… it ain’t hot sauce or barbecue sauce…. The owner has a beautiful spirit and the food is definitely cooked to perfection. If you’re looking for some hometown comfort food or if you’re just looking for a good meal, this is the spot. I’ll be back every month at MINIMUM.
Oh my goodness…! Can we just have a moment to talk about this place in this review. Whoa whoa am I impressed. Not only with the prices for what you receive. The but the flavor and the simplicity of this establishment. First off cleanliness on point. 2nd customer service friendly and we’re able to give you options for what you were in the mood for. 3rd baby okay baby listen the fried chicken seasoned to perfection, chicken fresh, not over cooked or undercooked it was just right. That catfish was tender and on point in every way possible. From the fresh taste, batter, and seasoning. You guys have to try this place out. You will not be disappointed. I will be traveling all the way to the Stone Oak area for this baby. Yes Ma’am.
This place is like a taste of Chicago without leaving the city. The food is amazing. I mean amazing. The owner is super friendly and very inviting. The lemonade is to die for but you got to try a flavored one. Watermelon was my favorite. I would definitely recommend this place if you want a taste of Chicago. Just sharing some pics of their pizza puff. Also this sauce is amazing i don’t know what it’s in but it’s like addicting!
We tried this spot while visiting family in town. When we arrived we were notified that they were closing early (in 5 mins) however they took our order and allowed us to sit in with no rush. The food was great but the yams were to die for. Very nice portion size and reasonably priced. I would visit again when I’m in town.
A true taste of Chicago right here. The employees here are super friendly and helpful. The sign at the counter says that food is cooked fresh and they aren't kidding! It takes a little while for it to come out, but it is worth it. The hot dogs have that snap that you are used to from a Chicago dog. The drag through the garden was just like back there. The Jumbo Chicken wings were huge, fresh, and hot (Temperature wise). The mild BBQ sauce reminded me of the a certain Shack that had the bullet proof glass. (IYKYK) Each table even has extra napkins and moist towelettes because you might need them. Overall, this place is fantastic and we will make it back there again! This place is a hidden gem right off of 281.
