Great location to downtown, right around corner from Soho and in middle of business area. Felt very safe. Hotel staff are friendly, helpful, and courteous. Nest feel with atrium and like having a restaurant in Hotel and breakfast/evening reception. Accommodations are clean but run down. Furniture, upholstery, and carpet need some maintenance. Not exactly what I expected with branding for Embassy. Agree that seeing the sunrise from here is amazing!

I'm a Hilton Honors member, so I always book my stay w/them. I have so much to say about this visit. It appears this location may need to be demolished and start over. It's the dirtiest place I've ever stayed. The only thing I did do was pull the blankets to see the mattress. There is paint chipping from the walls, and the carpet is torn in many areas. The pool was shut down for maintenance, and their floors were disgusting. You could hear my shoes stick at every step. Their tables in the dining area were sticky and gross. There were light bulbs not working in the room, the electrical plugs malfunctioned, and the AC does NOT work. The rooms are HOT AF. The staff lacks guidance. There is no privacy when using their computers or if they even work. The carpet needs to be replaced throughout. I'm not sure who cleans the rooms, but they really aren't clean. Streaks are all over the glass, and the walls are filthy. This was a Motel6 at best. The entryway windows are extremely filthy and as to the desk staff. One girl had glitter and fake lashes with nails so long she couldn't function. It's not cute

Truly. Do not choose this hotel unless it has been majorly renovated. Edit respond to “Owner Response” below: I emailed the General Manager, Yolanda Honor during my stay. I also submitted the information at the Hilton link below during my stay with absolutely no response. My recent stay at the Embassy Suites in Birmingham, Alabama left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. As a frequent traveler and loyal Hilton Diamond member for over a decade, I had high expectations for this stay, but it fell far short of what I've come to expect from Hilton properties. First and foremost, I booked this one-night stay on a holiday weekend, primarily because the hotel advertised an indoor pool and its proximity to the zoo. However, upon arrival, I was informed that the indoor pool had been closed for at least three days. This crucial information was not communicated on the booking website, which was a major oversight. To make matters worse, the front desk representative I encountered was unhelpful and rude, offering no apology for the inconvenience and only suggesting I could check out if I was dissatisfied. Despite these initial setbacks, I chose to stay. However, the problems didn't end there. Upon opening the sofa bed for my 2-year-old, we were greeted with a mattress that can only be described as unsanitary and repulsive. I have photographic evidence of stains that may be mold or bodily fluids on the mattress. A visit to the front desk confirmed the lack of empathy from the customer service representative, who acknowledged the issue but failed to apologize. We were given another room, but the new room had its own set of problems, including a sink that didn't drain and dirty pillows. What's most disappointing about this entire experience is the complete lack of response from hotel management. Despite my concerns and dissatisfaction, no one from management reached out to address or apologize for the multiple issues we encountered during our stay. As someone who has had positive experiences with the Hilton brand in the past, leaving such a low rating and negative review is disheartening. I sincerely hope the Embassy Suites in Birmingham, Alabama takes these issues seriously and works to improve guest satisfaction by addressing problems promptly and professionally.

We enjoyed our stay! It reminded me of walking into a hotel in the 90’s. We stayed here with my son’s soccer team and they had a blast. You can get fish food at the front desk. There are two fish over 10years old. Every room has a balcony. Our room was clean. Breakfast was great. Staff were awesome. We would stay here again.

Much to be desired with this facility. The property can desperately stand some upgrades and a good, deep cleaning. Bathtub fixtures are rusty. Elevators stop working a couple of times. The best thing about my room was the view, watching the sunrise every morning. The breakfast is pretty decent, and the woman making the omelets is phenomenal! Every day, she visited every table and asked what she could do better. They do provide complimentary drinks even though we were never around during the times they are served.
