Great breakfast. Super friendly staff. If you are handicapped they have a very limited number of rooms that are accessible. Call if you need a certain setup to make sure they have what you need. We were able to be accommodated by paying for an upgraded room so that we could get a shower without the tub. But we were not expecting to need this, my hubby had a freak accident was injured .
This was our second time staying here because we enjoyed our first stay so much, but we won’t be coming back because we found a USED CONDOM in the bedsheets of our 9 yr old sons bed, as he was getting ready to go to bed. The staff was apologetic, and moved our family to two separate rooms due to availability at the time. However, we never felt comfortable, as we couldn’t trust the cleanliness. It was a horrible experience.. which is so unfortunate because we were planning on using this as our “home base” for our visits bimonthly visits to the area.
Standard Embassy Suites with rooms that are a bit dated. The location is good for the airport and offices nearby. The parking is a bit quirky with a dual system of payment via the app and the need for a physical permit from the reception. Electronic keys work well compared to other properties lately. Cleaning staff are very friendly and work very hard.
DELIVERS EVERY TIME! This was my fifth stay here. Sometimes it's nice to have consistency when you travel. I know where everything is and how it works. Close to John Wayne Airport and 1 hour's drive from LAX (on a good day!) it's the ideal location from which to discover Southern California. Irvine is quiet, clean and tidy... it's the Singapore of California. The suite is two rooms - lounge (with sofas, armchair, work/dining table & TV) and bedroom (king bed, clock radio & TV) - plus bathroom. There's a wet bar with fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. The bed and pillows are excellent, the shower was great and the towels and bulk toiletries were good. There is also an iron and board, safe, hairdryer and extra blankets If you are a Hilton Honors member you get free WI-FI, otherwise there is a daily charge. Parking is available in the parking garage behind the hotel for $33/day. Breakfast is included with the room and it's amazing value. A full buffet of hot and cold items, with cooked to order eggs and omelettes. The staff here are good, with a shout out to Katrina at Front Desk who went above and beyond... she'll be running the place one day soon!
The staff was very nice and accommodating. The issue was the climate control for the rooms (2 rooms on two floors) had the same problem. They don't cool - at all. Every day for 5 days in a row, the coil would freeze up and we would have to call for maintenance. Within 1-2 hours a maintenance person would show up (as long as you're there - if you have to leave they leave too). Remember there is only one engineer in the evening and there are about 320 rooms (all full when we stayed) They open a panel and defrost the coil. In 30 minutes they close it up and their done. the unit will cool for 60 minutes. Last night the maintenance guy had 7 AC calls lined up after ours and it took him 2 hours to get to us. This is a management/owner problem, pure and simple. I won't recommend staying here again unless ownership and management change and the problems are fixed.
