Let me start with the positive. I've always loved the Marriott brand. You always know what you're getting. The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. The customer service when we checked in was excellent, and all but 1 employee was helpful and cheerful! The breakfast had a lot of choices and was great for a hotel buffet. One of the women quickly brought a new pot of coffee when it ran out. Now my issue with this hotel. I was at the pool, and there were about 8 screaming kids in the pool. There were a couple of adults watching them, but slowly, they left and were outside the fenced area and could not see their children. They also propped the gate open with a trash can. There is a sign posted that any children under 14 must be supervised. I went to the desk and explained the situation. Some of the kids were as young as 4 or 5 years old, up to maybe 10 years old. The manager said there was nothing they could do about that, and if the parents didn't want to watch their children, he couldn't say anything to them. I'm disappointed in the management. Why put up rules but not enforce them. We paid $1300 for 3 nights for 3 of us, but we were not able to enjoy the pool because of the unsupervised children that were running and screaming all around the pool. We moved all the way to the other end of the pool, but the children just came down to our area and were loud and out of control. I'm not even sure they were all hotel guests as they propped the gate open with a trash can. I'm disappointed but will continue to stay at Marriotts as I'm usually always happy with the hotel and the service.
Service is not bad, front desk Joseph was good. The room just so dated and not clean it’s hard to get good comment. We had a 1-bedroom suite, about 500 sqft. Biggest issues were, the aircon unit was located inside the bedroom and the sound of the aircon vibration was so loud that we couldn’t sleep, (see attached video), and the mobile receiption barely had 1 bar or none, the smoke alarm would start beeping when we are not cooking. i asked to change room almost 2-3x but they said they are full but when i went online to book for next day, the suites hv availability.
This hotel is like a timeshare with all the amenities. Marriott cleanliness and perfect beds and pillows. Desk and couch for the family. Kitchen with 2 electric burners, refrigerator, microwave. Bathroom is more like a motel though as it’s plain and simple. Love the location and quality I get for the money.
Came here for a concert at Shoreline Amphitheater and had a blast! It was only 15 mins from the venue and they had a nice underground parking garage and a pool. The pull out couch was comfortable for our friend and we would definitely be back. Plenty of parking and very nice staff, especially the guy who knew little English who still tried to help me find my friend :) We slept like queens, the beds were so comfortale! Thanks!
As a Marriott Gold Member, this has been the worst stay I’ve ever had at a Marriott property. If my company hadn’t booked me, I would’ve left by now. When I arrived the first night my shower had hair in it and I didn’t have adequate towels. When I returned after work, there was still hair in my shower. I had to request cleaning supplies to clean the shower myself. The customer service of employees like, Shanell, and others is unprofessional and deplorable. The property is not well maintained, their housekeeping staff lies about cleaning rooms and then refuse to clean rooms during a 14 day stay (as they are mandated) on the every 4th cleaning. There is no evening maintenance or housekeeping, the hallways smell and are unkept, the plumbing isn’t adequate (two back ups) and clogs, and more that I can’t detail in a review. When you respectfully request things nicely requests either go ignored or are half done. Then when you’re righteously upset about bad service — they purport you’re being difficult when they didn’t follow through with what they were supposed to do. The pictures attached are of my “clean room” according to their documented notes. DO NOT STAY HERE.
