Rooms are modern and really comfortable beds! The breakfast area is very nice and extremely well stocked. Great pool area for the kids with tables and fire pit. The staff was great and got us a portable crib for our toddler. My only complaint is the shower didn’t have the hottest water, it was barely lukewarm. The drain in our room smelled really bad and we noticed a lot of flies so we had drain flies but I think maintenance took care of it? We had no follow up. Overall, the location is great and the amenities are nice. I would stay here again.

The staff was great, granted a 2pm late checkout and changed my room (which was an award booking) from a King bed to a two queen which was helpful. Breakfast was also great! They Hyatt Place and Hyatt House breakfast is the main reason I continue to stay with Hyatt. My stay was great, but the $16 parking fee is a complete scam. I'm fine with paying for parking in a downtown area where space is limited, but this hotel is located in a suburb of San Diego where there is plenty of space and other nearby businesses don't charge for parking. Also, the spaces are incredibly small and there isn't even a security guard roaming the parking lot. If I have to pay for parking, at least make sure my car isn't going to get broken into! Skip the paid hotel parking and street park for free. I suspect the hotel implements paid parking because their parking lot is small and can't accommodate all the guest. The paid parking is a way to discourage people from parking, so the lot won't get filled. Instead, I suggest advertising their parking as "first come first serve" or rent some spots from the other businesses nearby.

Trying to get a room cleaned is very difficult. There are very few electrical outlets , so I charged my laptop in the kitchen. I booked this hotel weeks in advance, but they didn't have the top floor room I requested at check-in so I had to wait while other people kept checking in with no wait. They said they were giving me a "quiet" room which was on the street and I heard traffic all night. There are construction workers everywhere inside the hotel. In my opinion the hotel should be closed until the massive construction work is finished. They are charging top hotel prices for a construction site.

Subpar experience. Hotel fitness center is under construction but website advertises it as a feature. King room doesn’t come with king size pillows and there was no foam option. When requesting additional bedding at night, the guy at front desk asked me to go pick it up myself. Breakfast was not bad. Update: second time staying, gym is open now. Small but have weights and adjustable pulley. Got a king suit this time, room is pretty nice. I’ve also noticed increased staffing which is great. Will stay again for business.

July 2023 - Hotel under construction. Probably not usually a bad place, I just didn’t have the best experience. The app said my room was upgraded and It was not. I also requested a quiet room and was given possibly the nosiest room on the property being directly across the hall from their temporary breakfast hall and directly above their construction. Housekeeping will come once every two nights it seems. The mildew/hard water stains on the dark shower tiles led me to question the cleanliness of the shower. The breakfast is the standard HH breakfast. They charge for self parking as a tax to stay there (just raise the room rate $16 if you need it that bad). Pro tip - skip the parking fee by parking on the street with plenty of low traffic spots. Probably would not stay here again.
