Marriott is no longer what it used to be. I remember when staying at a Marriott hotel meant something. This hotel is dated and needs to be deep cleaned. I checked in the hotel for 5 days. I was checked into one room that had a roach the moment you walked in. The shower was not clean properly and there were several stains on the pull pit couch. I went downstairs and spoke with Muhammad and told him the situation. He stated that those issue were unacceptable and moved my room. This room was no better. The smell of the carpet smells like sour milk. There were several stains all over the wall and the hallway to the rooms are very disgusting. The general manager, the house keeping manager and the front desk supervisors need to go to several rooms and do inspections. I would not stay at this location pay a little more and go somewhere else.
The room was pretty nice. I paid a $200 incidental fee after staying there under my friends name from 6/30 to 7/4, & my wallet was stolen while I was in Atlanta. I haven’t received my incidental back for this reason, & they’ve been ducking & dodging my calls ever since after calling multiple times & leaving several messages. Not professional & not cool.
After driving for 8 hours we arrive and attempt to check into our rooms. The young man that was helping us could only find one room so he passed us off to someone else so she could help. She was rude, didn't listen, and spoke over me as I tried to explain and prove payment for accommodations. I was able to prove that we had both rooms and she made a big deal about having to find us a suite that we had already paid for months in advance. We were traveling for work and she tried to split us up on different floors and got annoyed when we asked if we could be on the same floor since we are traveling from out of state together. Instead of apologizing she let us know it's her last day working here. Only to see her for two more days and her attitude didn't seem to change much even though we attempted small talk in the lobby. We got corner rooms as we requested_- one room was dark and the view was off a parking lot and the other was at the front of the hotel. The room with the view was so loud and I got to watch women twerk and yelling. You are required to valet for $40 per day and expected to tip each time they retrieve the car. One day we called for the car and by the time we got down the guy was fussing that there were so many cars and we needed to move . We drove out of the parking lot and got two blocks down before we notice that he had never even left the key in the van like he had said he did . We're just lucky that we never cut the car off otherwise we would have been stranded . The week crowd was better and the other receptionists at the desk were much nicer as the week went was excellent! Super clean hotel and Rochelle in the bistro took excellent care of us in our conference room and for dinner.
I don’t have free breakfast , so be mindful of that if that something you’re interested in. The staff was very helpful and professional. The room for me is too dark the bathroom the lighting is poor for applying make up. They need better lighting more lights, the room needs some updates.
I left a piece of candy( unwrapped) on the nightstand, and I woke up to ants. The ants were in the bed ( no food was eaten in bed) I was very disgusted to say the least. The rooms are outdated. The front desk associate allowed me to use her personal phone charger, however I can't get over the ants!!!
