Really enjoyed this hotel..Has laundry, kitchen in each room (along with pots and pans), parking, and a pool. Unfortunately, the pool was a little too cold when I went and needed some cleaning done. Still great! The breakfast was really good for a hotel! Convenient location near the mall, walgreens, and resturants!
1. This place is a little ghetto, but its still a Marriott 2. Gabby (night manager) is so kind. She went above and beyond to make my stay more comfortable when she didn't have to. She needs a raise Marriott. 3. I would stay here anytime. 4. Stay strapped
Unparalleled value ! Yes, it’s an older property. I Am an older person. We both have our issues. I’ve yet to experience perfect, and I’d say this place is just fine. Excellent restaurants & shopping within walking distance, good, neat, clean rooms, prompt service, solidly built & well maintained (if you’re not too picky). Great place to rest. A new favorite.
1 hour from checking in we started having issues with our room. First, the air conditioner went out and the room was over 80 degrees and then the range went out. The property offered to move us in a 1 bedroom suite (from a 2 bedroom suite). When they did this the gentleman at the front desk process some refunds. He promised 200 but after 2 weeks I notice nothing came back. When I reach out to the property they said that they will refund 58 big difference. Also, the website had breakfast till 9:30am and they put it up at 8:30 both days. Old, dated falling apart unit. Others had issues too.
We came to Houston for the Paramore concert at the Toyota center and I read so many bad reviews I was hesitant to stay anywhere really. We went ahead and book here as we only really needed the room for one night. To start our experience the gentleman and the front desk was so welcoming. There was a couple ahead of me checking in but he was quick and efficient and still made me not feel rushed asking questions. We stayed in building 8 and the room smelt fresh and clean and was nice and cool walking in ( it was 108 outside). We booked on the Marriott website and paid under $100 after they included the $16 parking fee. The breakfast was better than some I've had and offered eggs, sausage, sandwiches, frittata, oatmeal bar, yogurt bar and dry items. The ladies kept it stocked andwere extremely friendly making it feel like you'd been staying there for months. The pool while we didn't use was clean and stocked with towel. It was within walking distance to the Galleria and took 20 minutes to the concert venus and 7 minutes back ( gotta love traffic). Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be booking here again forthe Post Malone concert in August. **Also sorry for the slightly empty breakfast pictures I didn’t think to take them till breakfast was over.**
