I had a decent experience here. The rooms do not have microwaves. The woman at the desk was really helpful. The shuttle to the airport came when I needed it to and dropped me off fine. My room was nice, but the hotel is a little run down. Some of the lobby seating is stained and worn and needs to be replaced. The base of the bed in my room did not fit the mattress. You can't see it in the photo, but there's a 3-4" gap at the foot of the bed between the wood base and the mattress. There is no way to control the temperature in your room. The wall thermostat had no effect on my room unit. In fact, I shut it "off," but the wall unit ran on its own even though it was supposed to be off. The breakfast was a problem. They say they have breakfast starting at 6, but they won't cook a hot breakfast until 8. I came down too early at 7:45, so I had to waste my time and go back upstairs for a little bit. At 8, I had a breakfast sandwich and a latte. The drink was tasty and hot. The eggs on the sandwich could have used some salt or seasoning. The breakfast was a bit slow, so if you're in a hurry, make sure you're there right at 8. I would stay here again, just for the shuttle. It wasn't an outstanding experience, but it was okay.

The room, quite frankly wasn't clean, included a big ol hair wad stuck to the shower wall. Checkin was wonderful but service went downhill quickly from there. Water station proudly advertised on signs, always empty. The "restaurant" in lobby was miserable. For checkout, I watched one couple take 30 minutes to check out until there were 8 people waiting behind them. Meanwhile around the corner the manager and another employee were chatting. It wasn't horrible. It certainly wasn't great

I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Midway in August 2023 for one night. Positive comments, the location is convenient as it is 1 mile from the airport. The shuttle service was on time, but this shuttle service makes a round trip to all the hotels in the complex, so no need to stay here. The negative is the hotel. I was assigned a room that did not lock properly. I complained at the front desk, they got me another room with the same problem and the phone to call the front desk was disconnected, so I just handled it, because this hotel has a 3 day cancellation policy, so I couldn't go to another hotel. Fridays restaurant is next door to the hotel, which is fine, but it is within walking distance to another hotel in the complex. However, as a woman traveling alone on business, this is the last time I will stay here. The hotel is very dirty, dusty, old and smelly, I could not sleep with my door not closing properly and no phone. No way I am coming back to this hotel.

Sabrina, thank you for always taking care of us when we stay, she recognized my Titanium elite status. She was warm welcoming and remembered me by name she also went above and beyond and this is the Marriott way, I travel a lot from state to state and haven't found the service that Sabrina always provides. I recommend this location because of her. the rooms are clean the TGI Fridays is always on point, Thank you as well Alexis phenomenal service

SouthWest was late of course, and we were forced to miss our connection in Chicago. This team was able to get us checked in quickly, and were very friendly. There was a young man working the graveyard who was absolutely great! Hats off to him. He handled the tired, weary traveler surge with kindness. He was essentially doing it all. The bed was comfy, and the sheets were nice and clean. The room did have some areas to improve it…the shower dispensers were ripped off the wall. The towels were a bit mix-matched, and random quality. The a/c-heat unit had a motor that kept making noise all night. Additionally the Tv did not respond to commands/was not usable. But overall, we were able to get some rest before running back to the airport. There is a great FREE shuttle to and from the airport. That is a huge win! It does get crowded, be warned! But it is a short 5-6 min drive from the airport to hotels! The floor ice machine did not work, and there was no water in the room. That was a bit rough. The surrounding area is a tougher neighborhood I would say (south side Chicago); but the hotel always felt safe! It was about $270 for the Saturday night for a king bed room.
