Modern, well organized hotel with excellent customer service that unfortunately suffers from being next to a busy highway. FYI: At least on the 2nd fl the rooms with even numbers are in front of the highway, odd numbers face a parking lot. We stayed there 1 night after our flight was canceled and we got a room where to spend the night. Not sure how much it can cost but mattress was in excellent condition even though a tad softer for my own taste. Nice shower and couch, blackout curtains are great. Guys at the front desk are encomiabile, whoever hired them: congrats. The vibes are modern/sleek/minimal and very clean, there are a few elements that would need to be upgraded (see pics) from a worn out elevator button, to a cracked floor, to an awkward stick to lock the bathroom door.
Upon arrival, we emphasized to the front desk that our electric rental vehicle needed to be charged. One of the reasons we stayed here was because they list it as an option. Day 2 we didn't need to use it, but we reemphasized this to 2 separate valet attendants twice on Saturday. Day 3 we got into it and were completely in panic, trying to navigate an unknown city and going 20 minutes out of our way to find a fast charger. We were delayed to our scheduled appointment due to this! Luckily Day 3 and 4 they have valet guys from somewhere else, both told us they don't typically work there, however they were the only 2 to successfully plug in the electric vehicle. Also keep in mind housekeeping only comes every 3 days... so we only got it once during our 4 night stay. I feel like we paid a premium for not a premium quality stay.
The rooms are super nice, modern and clean. The service was great whenever we needed it and they had a really nice elevated breakfast buffet. The location is just slightly subpar due to being noisy as its right next to busy roads and about ~30 minutes away from the pier on foot.
Not a bad place, looks to be more of a business hotel given the location, but noisy as it’s very close to a very busy road. One thing to BEWARE of - they take a pre-payment from your credit card (note, not a pre-authorisation, they actually took $140 from my account) but despite the fact I had no extras to pay for, they could not credit the money back to my card. The front of house staff said I’d have to wait 1 to 2 days for it to be credited, and it’s now 3 days and no money back.
I recently stayed at the AC Marriott in downtown Boston on July 15th through the 16th, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The room was clean and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a relief given the sweltering July weather. The refrigerator also kept my items cold, which was a plus. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable, providing a good night's sleep. I appreciated the hotel's effort to reduce single-use plastic by offering hydration stations to refill water bottles. However, there were a couple of areas that could be improved. The room felt a little dark, and additional lighting would have been helpful. Moreover, I was disappointed to find that I was assigned a handicap room, and the bath drain stopper didn't work, leading to constant drainage. Additionally, cracks in the shower walls created a messy look and detracted from the overall experience. On a positive note, the hotel offered a noise machine, which was a thoughtful touch, considering my room's proximity to a busy highway. As a platinum member, I received a 4 PM check-out, which was highly appreciated and one of the reasons I prefer staying with Marriott properties.
